  1. Anyone else have a problem with the grip on the Titleist umbrella getting and staying very sticky, it's so bad don't really want to use it, not that anyone cares I played another brand of clubs for many years and made the switch to Titleist this season, bought all new, AP 2 irons, SM 6 wedges 52,56,60, C-16 driver, 915D2 driver also, 915F 3 wood, 816H hybrid, light weight Titleist staff bag, valuable bags, the whole works, do you think the pro shop would exchange the umbrella for me? It's never been used, did not rain on the days I played, just got very sticky, light things will attach themselves to the grip it's so sticky.

Hi JR -- you indicated that the umbrella has never been used, so is the sticky handle a result of some form of glue or adhesive from a plastic wrap?

I have two Titleist umbrellas ... a single canopy and a double canopy version. I like them both. The handle is constructed of a sort of material that is slip resistant and I really like that. Dampness from the rain does not affect my grip on the umbrella. I suppose, short of the Pro Shop retailer where you bought your clubs, etc. providing you with an exchange, you may wish to try sprinkling a little talcum powder on the handle. It should help reduce the "stickiness" of the grip handle.
  3. The handle was not wrapped or sealed with any type of material seems like the heat got too it.

Hi JR ... I would ask to speak to the Manager or Head Pro at the Pro Shop where you bought all of your new clubs and the umbrella. If they do not own the Pro Shop inventory then I would speak to someone from the Board of the club or the club owner.

It seems to me that the price of an umbrella is worthwhile for customer loyalty. It seems petty and silly that the Pro Shop would not simply exchange it for you -- all the more so given that you spent a few thousand dollars there on new drivers, irons and wedges, etc.

    Grindelwald,

suggest to go back to the store where you bought the umbrella and talk to them
