  1. Hi there, I was wondering how long yall tend to expect your gloves to last?

Being down here in SE Texas, I'll rotate 4 gloves throughout a round of 18 (I sweat a lot). I have used Titleist PermaSofts for years, and will buy a new set of 4 every 2 months or so, but was wondering if A- there are any better gloves for moisture management and B- how long you'll use a glove for before trading it out?

    Thanks!

I was wondering my self. Been very humid here in Texas and my glove was very moist. I can let it dry out and then it tends to get stiff. I was wondering how long you guys keep your glove? How many rounds? Where it is very humid when you play. Maybe.. If I am thinking of switching gloves I should just do it? They never go on sale you know.
  3. If you hand sweat a lot you should try using the FootJoy rain gloves. I have sweaty hands and my friend recommended it to me. They stay dry through out the round! The rain gloves also don’t ware out as fast.

I learned on this site that you can wash your gloves. I never knew that. I've been doing it ever since. I have a few dozen in rotation and a few dozen new ones for back up. I wear them until they rip! Just like PROV's, you can never have enough gloves!

Hey, I didn't realize you could wash them... is there a particular method for washing that works best?

Thank you all very much for your recommendations, may try those WeatherSofs and rain gloves if washing doesn't pan out. I'll let yall know what I go with.

I use the PermaSoft gloves too. It really depends on the weather. I live in SE Virginia and summers are very hot and humid so a glove normally lasts about 3 weeks for me during the hot muggy months. Sometimes less. I normally use the same glove or maybe switch once from fall thru winter into spring.

I personally prefer FJ weather soft, plus they seem to last longer than the permasofts. Gloves last me about three months, I rotate 2 at a time.. Also when gloves get worn use those for the range.

You should try the new contour FLX.. They're new this year, love the feel of them and so far i've been very impressed how it handles the sweaty hands.. Give them a shot..
  10. I always end up back with the permasofts, can't beat the feel. I rotate 2 a round down here on the Gulf Coast of Alabama... hot and humid is an understatement. I'll hold on to older ones strictly for range sessions and try to keep fresh one's in rotation for rounds. Would really like to hear more about this washing of gloves...

I use the Players Flex. I buy them by the dozen. I rotate 3 per round in the summer. Here in FL you need to. Coming off hip replacement surgery 14 weeks ago, I started to practice again and even on the range I have to rotate 2 gloves.
