Hey Rick, when I use my 4-way stand bag that is pretty much the same setup that I use. Although I do include my TT alignment sticks with my black or white, depending on the theme alignment rod cover. Although using the 4-way is lighter it isn't always easier based on room. Definitely have to prioritize some items over others and plan accordingly.
  2. How many divisions are in the bag? Is the bottom flat? Can it be used on a cart?

I'd discard all of the balls until there's only 6-8 of them. Leave the rain gear out unless rain is called for. Keep about 8 tees. Unless you like lugging 50 pounds around a golf course.

I use the same set-up, only placing my putter in with the lob wedges.
  5. Great looking bag I'm hoping the get the premium carry bag so I'm guessing I will be in a similar situation for storage but I only need the bare minimum for nine holes but if I remember I will post pics.

I use the Players 4 bag, a bit lighter than the Players 4+. I keep the balls in the smaller left side pocket and use the lower middle pocket for all my loose items like tees, divot tools, ball markers, sunscreen, tape/band-aides, etc. I just keep them in separate small zip bags. Same for the large pocket, usually empty unless rain gear or sweater is needed that day. Upper right accessory pocket has the cell phone and watch. Carry 13 clubs with wedges and putter in bottom section, 7-PW in middle left, 6 and 2 hybrids in middle right, and Driver, 3 wood, and alignment sticks in top section. Working great for me.

Great post, Rick! I also just upgraded my bag game and went with the Players 4. I couldn't be happier and really think the gear team did an outstanding job with this line up.

As for how I organize my bag, I try to keep it pretty simple and straight forward. The one quirk I have, and I'm not sure if I'm alone on this one, is that I keep each club in a specific order in each divider.

    • Top divider is for the Driver (TS2 9.5*), Fairway (TS2 15*) and Putter (Scotty Cameron Squareback) in that order.
    • Middle left is Hybrid (818H2), 4-iron (T-MB), 5 iron and 6 iron (718 AP2) in that order.
    • Middle right is 7 iron, 8 iron and 9 iron (718 AP2) also in that order.
    • Bottom is PW (718 AP2), 50*, 54* and 58* wedges (Vokey SM7 Raw) - and yes, in that order. :)

Have the legs on this bag been redesigned? I bought 2 of the original redesign a year and a half ago. Both bags suffered snapped off legs up inside the where they are attached to the bag. I finally gave up and bought another brand. Loved the bag, but I had never had one with such fragile legs on it. Thanks

That's how I've organized my clubs since being a caddy in the 1960s -- putter with driver (putter always with a head cover to protect the driver shaft, since graphite shafts came out), then fairway woods and hybrids, then irons and finally wedges at the "bottom."

That’s a good set up , There is no absolute right way to set so go what’s functional for you. I don’t trust that the rangefinder won’t fall out of that pocket so I keep mine clipped on side of bag. As for hybrids I like mine in slot of iron it replaced ie my 3 and I don’t keep a head over on it. (Feels like an iron so that’s just what I do.

Love the bag and the set up. But years of high school and college hoops, have left my knees in shreds. Gotta ride. But the light weight cart bag gives me everything I could ever want or need. Titleist bags are 2nd to none. Great post guys!!
    Play Well,

  14. Great post! I bought the same bag this spring and didn’t like the way I had some of my clubs arranged. Going to move more toward your arrangement. Thanks.

My tees are a little different, I have a couple other accessories, and I have tough decisions before every round.

Fred, please try uploading your images directly. The links you attached aren't playing nicely.

    Thanks!

Am I the only one that thinks the lined water bottle pocket sucks? It can’t hold a decent sized water bottle without rendering the side pocket useless.

Maybe I’m using it wrong? This is my first Titleist bag and I don’t like it.

Thanks for weighing in, everyone. Please keep the ideas coming!

    Much appreciated,

I loved that little pocket groove cleaner brush, where did you get it? The ones I have are bulky
  20. This is the way I have mine arranged. Forgive my driver. It’s my only non Titleist club for now.

  21. Rick, nice set up. I first have to up grade to the 4plus. My current bag seems like the legs never want to extend out all the way. I've had the bag collapse down many times. On set up I go with Dr,3w,hyb. Top slot. 3,4,5&putter right side.6,7,8 left. 4 wedges in bottom slot. Range finder and accessories in lower left zipper. Balls in center pocket. Gloves, winter hat, rule book in big pocket. Tees, ball markers, and extras in small pocket above ball pocket.

Restoring an old thread, my mrs got me the 4 plus stadry for Xmas to replace my old 5 way players bag. Don’t often carry but do enjoy it. I’ve switched around the layout about 5 times and still not happy
