  1. Was lucky enough to record my hole in 1 during our recent Club Championships. After a little tough luck front 9 we spun it around at the turn and scratched a par on 10, and then cam the testy little 11th. Par 3, 174 yards, long but narrow green, always plays with a crossing wind. The hole is well bunkered on the right, and t(e prevailing wind always is right to left so the shot forces you to start you ball over the bunkers. The wind was kicked up to about 20km/h. I grabbed my 8 iron and took dead aim at the bunkers and started to pray the wind would carry it to the green. The flag was on the front right side, there’s a backstop you can use to funnel to the pin but it has to be just right. The ball left the club face on a great line and just when I wasn’t sure t(e wind was going to carry it across, suddenly it starts to drift left. It hits half way up the backstop and then zips backward, tracking to the pin, next thing I hear the “clink” of the ball hitting the flag stick and it went in. So great to do it during a competitive round when it matters!
