After 23 years of playing I hit my 1st hole-in-one on Aug 9th. It was 150 yards to elevated sloping left to right green. I saw it rolling right and it disappeared. Thought it went off the back so it took some searching until my playing partner looked in the hole!

Second came Oct 15th while playing with my wife and her friends. Another elevated green sloping away front to back. Pin was up front and it was windy. Saw the ball bounce, roll and disappear. If the pin was any further back, never would have seen it.
