Our golf group head guy put together 2 tee times on his birthday (1/2). With some hesitation I ask my partner to switch shifts at work cause "something" came up, no problem. Wife of course is wondering why I switched, definitely didn't tell her it was to play golf (needless to say it's been a low key celebration!). The Tt Titleist ProV 1 #91 w a black square around it is in my bar though!

We played at Grande Dunes Resort in Myrtle Beach and it was not warm! I bogey 1st hole (par 4 10th) and expected another average round, that changed very quickly! 11th is short from greens/ golds (it was cold!) Today playing 110-120 ish w/ wind (measured exactly 119 after verifying it). Basic 9i was the play. Playing partner hits from whites, other hits w me from greens, now my turn. We see CTP marker about 10ft right of pin from our other group (ironically the b-day boy). My spot was about 20yds right for my natural baby draw. Set up was normal, swing was good but stiff due to weather, and I definitely hit the sweet spot cause it felt perfect (with the PERFECT result). Ball slowly comes in left & we knew it was going to be close. We watch it roll and *POOF*, GONE! I saw an ace in Oct and 2 close ones in Dec which was cool, finally getting my own after 30 years of swinging clubs is much cooler & DAMN EXCITING! Typical celebration ensues and heart rate skyrocketed! Don't remember next couple holes but they were a roller-coaster of scores. One of them was a hole-out green side bunker birdie! Sandwiched by a double & triple bogey! 46 42 was definitely respectable though! Won $8 from the CTP & birthday boy bought me lunch so it was a good day! Somehow I missed the tab for drinks too so I got some great friends! I always joked I'd quit after an ace because you can't top a perfect swing & result! Yeah that ain't happenin! Hope you enjoyed my story! Happy New Year to you and your colleagues!
