I was golfing in between college classes with my now wife at mules national. Was having the round you could expect for a 28 handicap golfer. In other words terrible. I came to Hole 11 and we were actually talking about the hole in one cameras at thousand hills golf course in Branson Missouri because we were going the following weekend. The pin was tucked behind the front right bunker, I hit my 6 iron that had a deteriorating grip so pure but I thought it was gonna be short. The ball hit the top lip of the bunker and bounced over it. I couldn’t see the cup so I never saw it. I just figured it had rolled long or held up. We drove up and I grabbed a wedge, naturally, and looked forever. Finally I checked the cup and sure enough there it was. My first hole in one.
