I had just finished working a morning shift at the golf course, and decided to play an afternoon round with a group of friends. It was hole 12, over the pond, to a right front pin. It was a clear sunny day with no wind, and I was between clubs before the shot. Decided to hit a cut off 9 iron instead of a pitching wedge. Flushed it with a little draw tracking at the pin. It landed a foot to the right of the hole pin high, skipped forward, and spun back into the hole. It was difficult to believe and see, but when we got to the green the divot was right beside the hole and my pro V1 was at the bottom of the cup. This was my first hole in one and I will never forget it.
