On May 28, 2022, I was golfing with 3 of my high school friends at Sahm Golf Course in Indianapolis, IN. It’s the local course for the majority of us, and we were excited to get back out there given some of the bad weather earlier in the year. I was rusty for the first 9 holes, but once I made it to my favorite hole, hole 11, I felt ready for a good back 9 finish. I’ve never been the heaviest hitter, so I pulled out my hybrid, and “teed up” my ball for my drive. I hit the ball clean and and watched it approach the green. It looked good, but it slowly rolled closer and closer to the hole and then stopped. We hopped in our carts after all of our shots, approached the green, and noticed the ball was wedged in the cup. I immediately lost it. The rush was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.

Even as I go through different clubs and courses, I will always keep my Titleist hybrid with me for that magical moment.
