A cold (39º), windy (15 mph) day on Eisenhower Park Blue Course in East Meadow, NY.
8th hole, par 3, 110 yards. Steven, one of our foursome of strangers, hits a great shot. We watch it land, roll to the left, then into the hole. The first time I've ever seen a hole in one in the flesh.
We get to the 15th hole. Par 3, 175 yards, into the wind. I make my best swing of the day, and watch as the ball lands just over the left hand bunker, but we can't actually see most of the green. We walk to the green, and can't find my ball. We look all over. Finally, Steven says "maybe it's in the hole." He looks in the hole, and says "there's a ball in there." I say "Titleist 7?"
"Yes."
Two in one round, and my first.
