After nine months of consistent practice, I not only broke 100 but also achieved something every golfer dreams of—a hole in one.
It happened on the 14th hole, a challenging par 3 situated atop a hill, with the green far below. As I stood there, contemplating my club choice, I asked my friends and they told me they were using their sand wedge. I had my gap wedge in hand and ran back to the cart and changed clubs.
Standing over the tee, I felt calm. I hit the ball and it sounded good but I lost it in the sun. I could hear my friends talking but I was still trying to find the ball, as their excitement grew I finally caught at inching closer and closer to the hole.
It finally vanished into the cup. We all lost our minds and even the people playing behind us saw it happen and were clapping from above.
