I was playing in a scramble in memorial of one of my high school buddies who passed away shortly after Christmas 2022. Two of my teammates teed off before me, and I hit a pin seeking tee shot that landed just past the hole. It appeared to come to a stop and everyone was congratulating me on a good shot. Our last guy hit his shot and we all started walking to the carts. When I put my 9 iron into my bag I looked at the green and I didn’t see my ball. I asked my buddies where my ball was and one of them used their range finder to look and they told me they didn’t see it. At this point we started to get excited. We drove up to the green and I walked up to the hole and my ball was there. I said “You’ve got to be kidding me, it’s in the hole!” At this point our group went into full chaos, screaming, yelling, and hugging each other. I’ve played golf for 15 years and that was my first ever hole in one. It was made even better due to the fact it was during a special event, but also that I did it with guys I played with on the high school golf team. One of the guys I was playing with is the brother of my friend who passed away. Definitely a moment I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.
