  1. Friday the 13th, celebrating my best friend's 51st birthday, but I got the biggest celebration of all. The weather was perfect that day, hovering around 65 degrees with little wind, which is surprisingly shocking. Poppy Hills is nestled between two mountain ridges off the coast of the Pacific which generates a lot of wind, just ask the Pros during the ATT Pro Am. Either case, I was playing well that day and felt confident as I approached the 17th tee box. After 24 years of playing golf, a hole in one is a distant dream, so I approached it like any other hole. 139 yards with a greenside bunker in front, just hit it long and two putt for par. I decided to go with a longer club, pulled out an easy 9i and played a cut. Easy back swing, felt like a nice compression, the ball soared to the middle of the green then slowly drifted right on its way down, then ... CLINK! I knew right away it hit the flag stick but thought that it deflected somewhere on the green. My playing partner, Khai, looked at me and said "I think it went in... RUN." After a few seconds, I started to run down the fairway. As I started running towards the green, I kept looking for the ball and surely enough, there weren't any to be found. I finally got close enough to the flag where I can see something white inside the hole, and I couldn't believe it, I had dunked the ball off of my tee shot. My Titleist Pro V1x 2 that I've been playing with the entire round. Great day of my life!
