2012 Golf Season is coming up fast!

    This is the time where I'm extremely jealous of the PGA players.  Right as the rest of us are shoveling out (it'll come I'm sure. see Still Golfing in Massachusetts) these guys are in Hawaii teeing it up.  I always love the Sony open.  IMO it's the official start to the 2012 season.  Scotty releases his Hula cover, and then I hit the gym to burn off holiday calories and get ready for the season myself; which usually starts around St. Paddy's day here.

    There's a lot of changes in the schedule this year:  Especially with Bethpage hosting the Barclays.

    I'm especially glad they saved Harbor Town.  Gotta love the plaid jacket.

    What early season event is your favorite?  What changes are you excited for?

    2012 is going to be great. I think Rory will be the one to watch this year.

    For me it's The Waste Management in Phoenix. That's fun to watch before the Super Bowl. WGC is OK, though I've usually lost interest by Sunday.
    The official official start of the season is officially the Masters, though. By the time Sunday evening comes around, I feel like spring has sprung and it's time to change the spikes and use some sick days for tearing up the turf.

    It's definitely an entertaining tournament.  I love to watch the guys on the 16th.  That's gotta be nerve racking standing up there in front of all those people.  The pros talk about the "buzz" sound that never stops on 16.

    The WMO is a fun one to watch with the unique feel. Great tourney and awesome to see Stanley win after heartbreak. I also loved seeing Crane challenge. He is a riot on and off the course!
