I feel the same way, Mike!!  I was thrilled that USGA had Stricker in their featured group so we could watch him the first 2 days.  Like everyone, he had chances he didn't capitalize on, but when he made that putt on Saturday I really felt like he might make a charge on the last round...Sunday was such a heart breaker.  But I've got a good feeling about the PGA!! :)

Mine as well.  I like him a lot cause he won our local PGA event here 3 times in a row.   It's one of the smaller, cheap purse events on tour (John Deere Classic).   But still 3 times in a row is pretty sweet.  Still amazed at that shank on #2 at Merion though!

His short game will come in handy at the Open Championship, as well as the P.G.A.. I just posted a thread about Jason Dufner. It would be great if Stricker and Dufner won the last 2 Major's.

We lived in Madison, WI a few years and would always see Steve around town....I would see Steve his wife Nicki and his girls pretty much once or twice a week at the Einstein Bagels in Maple Bluff getting bagels and coffee..creature of habit.

Actually hit balls with Stricker and Kelly in the snow shack at Cherokee Country Club a few times...good stuff.

Steve is my favorite player on tour by far. Part of it could be that im from wisconsin and i work with Dennis Tiziani too. He is also one of the nicest guys out there. He will win a major soon I'm sure of it.

I really would LOVE to see Strick get the British Open this year but playing in the JD Classic will make him jet lagged I'm afraid.

Maybe he can pull off the PGA Championship this year!  A player like him deserves a few majors before he rides off into the sunset!

I love Stricker's Avis commercial. I know that he will get a major soon...he's too good not to.  I would love to see him get one this year.
