If you could interview a Tour Player, what questions would you ask them?
Post your thoughts and questions here. You never know, the next time we hit the road we might get some answers for you.

If today's PGA professional no longer had equipment endorsements to fall back on as a means of guaranteed income and had to rely on their talent and ability to make a living which equipment and ball would they choose to play?
Edward KWesley Chapel, FL
"if nobody got paid to play a ball, everyone would be playing Titleist, hands down!!!!!"..............

what was or maybe were his highest downs, we all know their ups, but what about how they overcame their downs. alot of good players were just not able to overcome those "slumps".

I would ask how many rounds of golf total (practice rounds, tournament rounds, and fun rounds) do you play per year and how many rounds do you play just for fun.

In the 1980's I would go to The Westchester Classic at Westchester CC. The 16th was a Par 3, 204 yds. a little downhill. 90 % used a 4-iron on this hole. Today, they would use a 7-iron. To what would they attribute this. The ball, the clubs, the players or a little of each?

I would ask what he works on in regards to keeping his tempo during his swing.

Do tour players change their wedges often to keep a sharp grooved club in the bag. Love those backspin heading toward the cup.

After missing a short putt or having a bad shot, how do you mentally get past it? I know everyone says it's behind you and you can't look back, but I know it tends to stick w me for a little bit.
jim kpalm bay, FL
i would ask him/her to come play a round with me :)
andy rCheshire, CT
How the heck do you guys hit that 2 hop and check pitch shot ?

What is your mental process before you hit every shot?
Michael MClinton Twp, MI
I'd want to know how to get refocused or how to stay focused throughout all 18 holes. I'm good for about 10-13 holrs but seem to "check out" for a few holes costing me strokes...
Jeff Y.Clarksville, TN
Michael I understand your pain, I feel the same way, i try to stay energized and have some sort of nutrias snack after nine, and hope that kick starts my game, but it does not, I feel sluggish and just want to get the round done, which like you said costs me strokes. I had a good round going last weekend, I was ecstatic with my self, 3 birdies and 2 eagles going into 15 and then 2 doubles and and 2 bogeys to ruin my day, just not sure how to kick the last four hole sluggish feeling.

Jeff, I feel your pain brother! I often can't close a good round. Actually had it really cooking last week with the new test ball, and I gave most of it back the last 4 holes. I've been told, "thats why I have a regular job"....LOL......

The PGA tour has set a high standard on giving back to the communities where their players compete. What do you do to promote the game and help those in need in the cities that the tour plays?
Shane BTallahassee, FL
What's a good way to stay calm and focused when shots aren't going your way?

Alot of people like ask about Pre-round routines and practice. My question would be how do you unwind from a round ?

how do you deal with pain? injuries? rude people in the gallery? rain, wet and inclement weather conditions? what separates a tour player from a scratch golfer? can a scratch golfer become a tour player? what separates a winner on tour from the rest? do you have to be totally closed off from everyone and everything or is it better to be lose and talk to other players and spectators?
john cNashville, Tn
What is the one aspect of an amateurs game that he/she should work on if you could only choose one.
maybe you could ask... Are you done with that driver?
Andrew S
Other than running from the parking lot to the 1st tee, what are some poor pre-round habits of most amateurs? follow-up question, what should amateurs focus on if arriving 20mins before tee time.
