Who do you play golf for?

    Whether it be for yourself, for someone close to you, or the kids and up and coming future of golf we all play this game for a reason. I've been thinking a lot lately about how I would feel and how amazing it would be to clinch the Masters on Sunday and see my Dad there watching me knowing that I did it for myself but more importantly I did it for him. He brought me up in this amazing sport and I can't think of any better way to thank him than than by having that opportunity to share with him that kind of win. I play for my Dad, I play for myself and I also play for the kids out there who I want to have experiences like mine and continue to grow this amazing game.

    So I'm curious, who do you all play for and why? I want to hear stories about why you play our great game.

    I agree that it would be the moment of my life to have my dad at the Master's to hug me on the putting green after my final putt fell. With a 1-handicap at the age of fourteen, I can definitely see myself standing on the 18th green at Augusta with my family surrounding me. I won thirteen tournaments this year and after every one, it is an amazing feeling to sense my dad's pride and satisfaction in me. I shot -2 in my last tournament and he was so full of joy and elation for my success that it is part of the reason I love the game the way I do. he told me on the car ride home today that he believes that I can do it and with that kind of support, I know I can do it too.
