    Hey, Team Titleist,

We just wrapped up another exciting season on the PGA TOUR. Once again, Titleist players shined brightly, collecting 28 victories for the year, more than three times the nearest competitor with 9. During that same time 72% of players who competed in a PGA TOUR event teed up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x.

There were a scores of historic highlights as well as a handful of deflating lowlights (Ryder Cup), but for me, the moment that really stood out was Webb Simpson’s performance in capturing his first PLAYERS Championship. Webb basically lapped the field on the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. He matched the course record with a second round 63 and tied the 36 and 54-hole PLAYERS scoring records at 15-under 129 and 19-under 197, respectively.

With a 7-stroke lead, he was able coast to victory on Sunday, but the moment that I’ll always remember was the long bunker shot he holed on No. 11 on Saturday. Such a tough shot, but there never seemed to be any doubt that it was going in:

Great thoughts on the year Rick. Webbs four rounds that week were magical.
Although not a Titleist player, I enjoyed Brooks Koepkas year. Truly deserving of the POY honor.

    Tim,

Agree, great year for Brooks. And though we can't really promote it or mention him by name, I am happy that the POY played a Pro V1x!

    Lethbridge,

Yes, there were exciting moments in this years golf season. For me there were two highlights that really stood out. Francesco Molinari's win in The Open Championship. His consistency throughout the tournament and throughout the year really stood out to me. Secondly, sorry Rick, but the European win in the Ryder Cup was a true highlight. The shots that were played during that tournament showed the quality of the golfers simply amazing.

Can't argue with those choices, Scott. We were fortunate enough to meet Francesco at our commercial filming in August and he's as solid a person as he is a player. So glad when a truly good guy has a breakthrough season like that.

Hats off to Team Europe, as well. They were truly deserving of that victory.

These two shots by JT to win the Honda Classic...especially the shot on 18 that almost went in.

I agree with Webb's PLAYERS performance, definitely one of my top moments. Especially cool since I'm also from Raleigh, and I actually only missed out playing against him in high school by 4 years. Hopefully I'll see him again at the Wyndham next year.
  8. Has to be the recent Ryder Cup. Go Europe.

The majors seemed a bit flat to me but Tiger's comeback was exceptional.

Great post Rick V. I'm not the biggest Tiger fan, but watching the folks follow him up the 18th fwy at the Tour Championship at East Lake was amazing. Nobody else could make people go off like that except Tiger. My low point was not seeing Jordan Spieth in the winner's circle this year. A great Sunday at the Master's was his best this year. Here's to a better 2019 for Jordan.
    Play Well,

I agree Steve, Tiger is the biggest drawing card in this sport since Arnie. When he is in position like at East Lake, people who are only marginal fans and even those who don't follow golf at all turn on the TV for Tiger. The on course security basically lost control of the gallery on 18. I was never a Tiger fan from the get go, but East Lake was the highlight of the year for me.

My favourite moment from this season was being invited by Titleist for a fitting at the RBC Open!!!! I was on the driving range with the pro's!!!

Second favourtie was Tiger winning his 80th tournament. This will do a lot for the game next season.

Brooks Koepka for me was a massive highlight - hoping he can 3-peat the us open this year

Tiger at East Lake - the walk down the fairway to the green on 18 was a sight some thought they would never witness again
  15. Seeing Tiger come back from spinal fusion, was my highlight of the year. I’m prejudice here, being that I had 3 vertebra fused. Until you experience major back pain/issues, you don’t know how bad it is
