  1. Hi TT:

Just wondering, if Will gets it rolling on the greens, how low could he go? What a great striker of the ball.

  2. Agreed. I'd like to see him work with Brad Faxon. That would free him up. As Brad likes to say..."putt like you don't give a shi*."

Such a funny game. I've seen a guy like Spieth slap the ball all over the place but win a tournament from drilling 20 footers. And guys lose while seemingly hitting every green and fairway. At the end of the day, you have to get the ball in the hole.

At least Zalatoris knows what he needs to work on. I'd rather know my game is 9/10 in every category and 5/10 putting versus being 7/10 in everything.

Zalatoris has a very cool and calm demeanor inside the ropes. I believe there were some nerves in play when he hit driver in the playoff. When you're in a sudden death playoff, it's no longer stroke play and your mindset needs to shift to match play. With your opponent's tee shot in the bunker, driver may not have been the best play in that situation; of course, that's Monday night QBing. Zalatoris has a lot going for him and he'll get to the winner's circle soon enough.
  6. I was lucky enough to sell clubs on Tour and one of my good friends was Rookie of the Year... What he explained to me is that really when you're in contention for the first time, you are hyper aware o TV. You just don't want to look like a complete idiot by three putting a bunch of holes. Watch a person who has rarely or never won and almost all of their putts will come up short! Grip is to tight on the putter gets tight and they're really trying to die the ball into the hole so they aren't left with those three Footers that make them look incompetent! For Will I suggest putting a weight through the entire putter, meaning a rod that runs from the top of the putter to the grip. Small and thin metal rod,but the overall weight will make it so much harder for him to jerk the club inside like he does on his short putts. The thin rod "marries" the head and grip weight through out the whole putter!

Went out to the 18th green last nite and rolled a few putts where the hole was on Saturday..... Just amazed he missed them both, guy is a beast from the tee through fairway!
  9. Will is going to win this year, I wouldn't rule out a green jacket

Hope he feels better and gets into the winner's circle soon. If he is holed up in quarantine somewhere perhaps he can watch some putting videos and practice rolling the ball on his carpet. Try something different, come out and shock the world!

I feel like he's one that will keep getting closer week to week, then bust one out in a Major. Maybe in April.

The first time I saw Will play on TV he pushed out Rory as my #1 player, followed by Morikowa. He is young. He will figure his out his putting stroke. Just an aside, he put on 12 lbs in preparation for this season. The game needs more players like Will.

Did you see how much longer he is off the tee, after the 12 lbs? I followed him for a few holes at Torrey Pines (3rd round), and he was as long as anyone I saw.

What a Titleist camp: JT, JS & WZ. JS came close this weekend at Pebble and thankfully he is around to talk about it after that hair raising shot cliffside on #8... GUTSY...

I still like the comparisons to Happy Gilmore's caddy. I think he'll improve more with the putter. Now that he's had a taste of contention, I wouldn't be surprised is he ended working with Faxon or Dave Stockton.

Will is not a bad putter. He finished 2021 T19 in approach putts.

There seems a lot of action, or interest, in Will this week at Bay Hill. It’d be a great spot to nab his first win at this level. Great course. Great field. Here’s hoping his putter gets hot.
