    The Ryder Cup is my favorite event every other year, I have been lucky enough to attend three and look forward to getting to many more. I have often thought what course would be the most fun to see a Ryder Cup played at.

    What are your top 3.

    Not to "poo poo" on your selection Chuck but they probably would not host a US Ryder Cup outside the USA or Europe (Cabot). They also are not set up to handle lodging for the big crowds, the same reason Bandon will never be picked for anything except lesser USGA events where limited attendance is the norm. I totally agree that it would be really neat to see some televised event at Cabot to give more people an opportunity to see it, like the US Amateur was televised at Bandon in 2020. Okay, you can hit me up to buy you a beer next time I see you for "raining on your parade". Cheers.

    Since the Ryder Cup is put on by PGA of America, not as likely that the TPC courses would be selected and we know the ultra-exclusives would likely not host so probably will continue to see classic courses near big cities where large turnouts can be handled. I personally don't care which courses they use, its more about watching the competition between the players. Naturally the course can influence the way the matches turn out if they favor long hitter or straight hitters and the team does not fit that particular style of course. Great that you have had the opportunity to be at them in person. Hope you see many more. They definitely are more competitive than the old days of USA vs GB only. My only take would be since they expanded GB to be all of Europe, add all North America. Canada and Mexico should be included and not have to play on the opposing President's Cup teams. That's my personal wish.

    No rain, but realistically, Cabot is hard to get to and based on the accommodations there, barely enough rooms for the players. Just did not take into consideration the fans. Would be a great course for a match, without fans. The cliffs is one of my favorite courses. For those who have not been there, it needs to be on their bucket list. No worries, but we can still have a pint, that's what friends are for. =)

    iM with Dale, this event really isn't about the course. They've played RC's at some weird places and they've all been pretty awesome matches as of late. The best course we've seen recently in a match was the presidents cup in Australia at Royal Melbourne. That golf course was perfect, great set up. Unfortunately not a location we'll see in a RC

    The percent chance of a Ryder Cup ever being played at Augusta National would probably be a negative number. It will never happen.

    I think the OP was just looking for a fun hypothetical list of courses we would love to see the rc played on...personally Austin CC, Eastward Ho! on cape cod and luckily my last choice is happening in 2025; Bethpage.

    Love the tough tracks like bethpage but I think somewhere like austin cc with all the elevation changes would be fun TV. The dell match play is usually entertaining in itself every year and its a perfect match play style course

    I would love to see it played at Newport Country Club - one of the original US courses and a terrific setting.

    Newport CC is a beautiful, iconic course but unfortunately it's just too short a course for the pro's. The LPGA played there and the Senior Open was scheduled but cancelled due to Covid. I wish the membership at Newport would add some distance, maybe some new tee boxes only for use by pro's. I would love to see the pro's deal with the "afternoon sea breeze" that comes up during the summer.

    Definitely one of the best sporting events ever!!
    So many none golfers look forward to watching it too.
    I hope we can give you guys a better game of it this year.
    Last year we were out gunned and out classed. ️‍♂️

    The venues may not be as important as the crowds for the Ryder Cup; however, in the case of the Presidents Cup, the venue is everything IMHO. The 2022 Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow will be epic because of the venue. In 2028, it will likely be played again (1998, 2011, 2019) in Royal Melbourne and I think that if it were played in Mexico as it had also been discussed, the tournament would not have such a big impact on the community and the golfing world in general.

    The venue for the 2023 Ryder Cup is the Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome, Italy which I had never heard of before the Italian Open last year and the fact that it will be hosting the Ryder Cup next year. At least Le Golf National hosts the Open de France every year or so since 1991. I understand they want to get bigger crowds, be inclusive and promote different golf courses but the venues are still important IMHO because they make the Cups much more memorable.

    I’m a Tillinghast fan, so I’m glad for Bethpage in three years. That said, I think Winged Foot would be a better test.

    We all know there are places the Ryder Cup will not go, but have some fun what courses without limit of where they are would you like to see the Ryder Cup played.

    My favorite would be at Augusta National is it ever going to happen, I say no, but it would be fun to watch.
