Money money money MONEY!!!!!!!!  Just my opinion but.......some (not all) will go where the money is!  usually the lower to middle of the pack guys..... cause they need the extra income that some club mfrs. throw out there.  The top tier guys stay put cause they're getting big big bucks cuz they're the face of that particular club line.

But really all they do is sign a contract for a couple yrs and if their stock is high they cash in.

I would like to know what some of these guys played before they were pros(Titleist)

    Just my opinion...please don't crucify me....hahahaha

I agree.  These guys have to grab the cash while they can...you never know what might happen as a pro golfer.  However, if you said that there were no endorsement deals, I bet you would see more players teeing it up with Titleist equipment.  Most of these pros used Titleist as amateurs.  It's the number one brand in all of the high level amateur and junior events.

Truer words were never spoken. From my days of playing in college (mid-70's) to today, just check out the leading amateur and college tournaments and all the top players have one thing in common -- Titleist.

If it weren't for the money that's the way it would be throughout their careers. Even many of the TOUR pros come back to #1 after their current deals run out.

    Play great in 2011.

  5. A majority of players do in fact switch just because of the money/benefits of being with that company. Although, there are a few, maybe, that switched because the new equipment could really be better.

I think money plays a big part as well.  From the company's stand point it's almost like investing in stocks.  You have your old high dividend paying stocks but you're always looking for some long shots that can really pay off big.  All equipment companies do this.
