I too have become a fan of the European Tour. As prominent as some of their players have become over here, it's no longer a matter of turning on the television to watch some unknowns. Actually, with as much young talent competing for the prize each week on the American PGA Tour, there are often more lesser known names on the leader boards here than in Europe.
I also enjoy seeing the different golf courses they have there.

David - couldn't agree more. Love watching the Euro Tour. Great post.

I'm also a huge fan of the Euro tour. There's so many great players over there, and the scenery is incredible. It sounds cheesy, but it's almost like a mini vacation on a Sunday or Saturday morning. Most of those fields are stacked as well. It's always fun with those guys in the field.

Agreed- im and early bird and i love seeing the fields they have. To mirror some of the other posts there is a lot of talent in those fields. I am really glad the GC televises it.
The announcers are cool too. I'm a sucker for accents

I read that one of the reasons Rory wanted to be in Europe because of his girlfriend. They have since broke up, and speculation is he may play more in the US. I enjoy the Euro tour as well. Manaserro has the game for any tour. I hope he reaches his potential.

The courses are definitely beautiful! The commentators do put you in a little trance. There's hardly any negative comments.
Four reasons that I like the Euro Tour:
1. The telecasts are early in the morning - wake up and watch golf (if I'm not playing, of course).
2. The announcers are great. They don't take over the telecast. They let the golf do the talking, so to speak.
3. It's nice to see diverse courses and different layouts from the countries the Euro Tour plays each week.
4. Last, but not least, the golfers on the Euro Tour are really good.
Spot on, Memphis. It's very relaxing to watch Euro golf. Everyone is pretty much "soft spoken"...they follow EVERYONE...the courses are diverse, which is a good thing. It's exciting for us and for the players as well.
Mr. Manassero still has a chance to win to win. It's been a very exciting tournament so far. Who knows?
Great post guys. I really enjoyed watching today. The broadcasts are far better. More golf, less talk and less updates from talking heads in the studio. TGC needs to take the hint on continuity.
In my opinion, a certain player is still at the top of their list. No matter what.
I was told once, by a very respected golf commentator, that the U.S. commentators are like the way they are because of ratings. With the European Tour, it's all about golf.
Absolutely on the money. More golf than gossip.

I also enjoy the foreign tours. It allows us to always have golf to watch.
A buddy of mine plays South African Tour events. He is doing well this year so far.

Did you guys see that Steve Stricker was playing the euro tour last week?
February 02, 2011 At 04:00 PM
Yeah, he's playing in the Qatar Master's. Opened with a 76. 3 rounds in the 70's...tough week(end) for Mr. Stricker.
This week(end) is also one of my favorites on the European Tour. The Omega Dubai Desert Classic. I absolutely LOVE this tournament and course. The competition is always amazing. The Emirates GC always looks great. This will be a very interesting week(end).
Mine also David
Very relaxing watching the Euro Tour broadcasts. Should be a pivotal week for TW. I'm sure LW and MK are psyched.
Enjoy it!
Yeah I would say a strong field is an understatement. You've got the top 3 players in the world over there this week. It'll be good watching
How about Rory firing off an opening round 65?! This is gonna be a great weekend for golf.
I agree. Lots of great golf on TV this week.

Very nice! In my opinion, he seems to play better on the Euro Tour. Like I said before, when he's comfortable...watch out!
Looks like a great Sunday finish for TW. Hard to pick the winner.
NUTS.......Tiger got paired with Sergio.
They didn't speak a word to each other for 4 hours. Pretty suspicious pairing on behalf of the Euro Tour I think. SG walked off a few greens before TW even putted for par. They haven't spoken to one another in a few years. Different pairing may have gotten him out of the dungeon.
The old TW would have gone out and shot 65. If anything I figured that the pairing would fire him up. Looks like it didn't help either of them...
still a fun week to watch

I have no doubt it's true. I have friends that love watching Johnny Miller just to yell at the television and talk about why they love/hate him.
