Blade/009, had an eye for it and when fitted at the Gallery that was what I putted with!
  3. I'm in-between I guess with a squareback really great style imo never been happier with a putter.

I like blade putters best . I have tried mallet putters but can not get used to the size. Blade putters are what I started with and still use.

    The mallet for me.
Had blades in the past and once I changed to Scotty mallet it was the one.
Weight balance and the proper fitting works for me .

I like the looks of blade putters the best, but i putt better with a mid mallet. I have one of each in a Scotty.

I swap between the California Del Mar (mid mallet) and the 2018 Laguna (blade). Both have extreme tow hang and it just then down to confidence and visual appeal. I love the both but sometimes it just good to change up the perspective.

I like the look of a blade more, a mallet just doesn't fit my eye as well and I feel like I'm trying to control the stroke too much to make it straight back and through. I'm actually going to get fitted for a new Scotty on Sunday so I can figure out which one is best for me, looking forward to it!

always liked blade styled putters. the first mallet style putter I ever went with a a TM Rosa Monza, it was a large-ish traingular shaped putter that I did pretty well with, I was just never too thrilled about how it looked...but it performed well. From there I went back to blade styled, have used Bridgestone, Bettinardi, Never Compromise and am now gaming an SC Newport M2, Mid-Mallet and it seems to be the best of both worlds for me.
  11. I have had both a mallet and a blade Scotty. I prefer my Newport 2 select. It’s the best putter I have ever had. The weight the feel and the looks are perfect for my. I absolutely love it.

Mid mallet (GoLo-5 black) has been in the bag for a while. Got 2 Scotty prototypes,a heel shafted mid-mallet (J.A.T.) and a center shafted Newport 2 that I'll use on occasion.
The mid-mallet is easier to align and a little heavier.

Blade for me, I can't putt with a mallet.
  15. Blade all day, everyday.. with mallets I always feel like I have to hold back when putting because of the "extra mass"
  16. I’ve mostly used a blade style putter but recently picked up a mallet futura x5 after getting fitted for it. Really like the feel and feel it’s easier to align.

I have played the Del Mar for about 8 years now but I just bought a Newport 2. I like the feel of the Mid Mallet on shorter and faster putts but I have a hard time with ball speed on the longer putts. I told myself its time to switch things up!

I'm not a mallet guy, but the Phantom X 5.5 is calling me to it. It probably won't be long that I give in and get fit.

Since years mostly use blade style putter like Newport 2 but recently picked up a Golo 5r. After few weeks the Newport2 select is back in my bag. I am interested in a 009 blade Putter.

2 Mallets.......Red X is the standard, just love the feel of that insert, and on slower greens California Del Mar. Both are the same length and grip (sent back to Scotty to have work done on both). Been a mallet man for a while

For alignment, I need a longer sight line than on a blade. But most mallets are face-balanced and I need more toe hang (confirmed with K-vests/cameras). Now that there are some toe-hang LH mallets, I'm getting the best of both worlds - better lines - better stokes.
  22. Can’t stand the look of mallet but it’s what fits my game. I was able to find same benefits in Squareback 1.5 without having mallet look. Couldn’t be happier!
