  1. Im thinking of getting a new pair of golf shoes. I like the footjoy shoes because of their design and quality. They offer the option of spikes or spikeless golf shoes, but i am unsure what i should have. Can anybody help me on this matter? Have any of you had spikeless golf shoes?

I TRIED GOING WITH TENNIS SHOES ABOUT 50 YEARS AGO ON AN OUTING THAT I DIDN'T KNOW WAS GOING TO INCLUDE GOLF,,,SO I DIDN'T TAKE MY GOLF SHOES. NOW I GUESS I MUST BE A LITTLE UNCORDINATED BECAUSE I ALMOST BROKE MY NECK SLIDING AROUND.

    NEVER TRIED IT AGAIN.

I HAVE 6 PAIR OF FOOTJOYS,PLAY 5 DAYS A WEEK, AND SWEAR BY THE FOOTJOY SHOES. THEY ARE THE BEST BY FAR.

OUT OF THE BOX AND ONTO THE COURSE-FIT LIKE A GLOVE,COMFORTABLE AND LAST FOR YEARS.

STYLE WITHOUT COMPARE-THE MYJOYS ARE THINGS OF BEAUTY.

I GUESS I GOT A LITTLE CARRIED AQWAY BUT THEY ARE FABULOUS GOLF SHOES.

For me, it depends on the course and weather conditions.  I have spikes and spikeless shoes from both Footjoy and Ecco.  On a dry course, you could go either way.  When conditions are soft I like the spikes.  Of course, when you are getting in a quick nine, having the spikeless on and jumping in the car without having to change shoes is nice.  I have also used the spikeless on a wet course without any problems.  Comfort-wise, Footjoy and Ecco are my absolute favorites.  Can't go wrong either way.

Spikes all the way.  Having a good foundation is key.  If I slip once I'll replace my spikes.

    this is said perfectly

  6. I have a pair of spikeless golf shoes and I love them. I do not have to re-spike every year which continues to add to the cost of the shoes I am putting new spikes in. I get plenty of stability with these shoes.

I would strongly recommend going with spikes, I have tried spikeless shoes only once and ended up wearing them for everything but golf. And carrying it further, you said you liked the FJ Brand of shoe. That is the best shoe, in my opinion, on the market today. I have been golfing for over 40  yrs. and have tried just about all the bands of shoes for this sport. I don't own a lot of shoes, but I do own only FJ Brand golf shoes. For the money and the quality they are the only shoe worthy of being used on the course. And the ICONS and shoes from the MY JOY program, for the most part, now come with the Champ Stinger cleat. It is an extremely stable cleat and for comaprison closely resembles the stability of the old metal ones. I currently have a pair of Dry Joys, Classic Dry Premiers and now the ICON Asymetrical. Great shoes and really hol up. And for service regarding any of their products, they, like Titleist, are the most responsive and helpful of all.

Just bought a pair of FJ Superlites. Comfy and light for sure...BUT, the soles of the Superlites in addition to  soft spikes have these annoying little bumps all over the sole that really mark up the green.  The suppression lasts longer than a soft spike indentation.    I may remove the spikes and sand off the bumps.

I'm pretty sure that with one roll those "spike" marks will disappear.  If you're really concerned talk to the greenskeeper, and repair an extra ball mark.

The marks will disappear. If you remove those so-called annoying bumps, warranty on the shoes is no longer valid. Actually, those annoying bumps are provided for greater stability an they do not hurt the greens at all.

    Thanks Josh

I am more concerned about my playing partners who have to put after me.   I've even opted to put last so as not to have these guys putting over my FJ waffles.

I have several pair of soft spike footjoy's. GREAT shoe, try them before you buy them, I fing they run a little small in the sizes ? Not sure why but all my footjoy's are a half size bigger than my nike's to get the same fit ?
