In my many rounds of golf, I have been privileged to play at different clubs.  A couple of my favorites are Double Eagle in Columbus Ohio, and Old Warson in St Louis.  Both have awesome clubhouses.  But the one thing that sets a clubhouse apart for me is the food.  Double Eagle has an adult Milkshake called a Hummer.  It is absolutely amazing!  After a hot day the alcoholic shake tastes like nothing else.  That has to be my favorite thing I have ever had at a clubhouse.  What's yours?

Well I think this just became my favorite discussion forum ...

Let's do this in meal order:

    - Breakfast at The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe: Traditional breakfast of eggs, toast, coffee AND the best bacon. Period. At the turn in the afternoon ... frozen yogurt.

    - Lunch at The Masters: So it's not exactly clubhouse food. But the palmetto cheese sandwich. It really is as good as you would expect! Followed by a peach ice cream sandwich.

    - Dinner at Inverness Club: Had to put the home course in there. The clubhouse has so much history and between neat memorabilia from past major championships and the dark lighting, it almost takes you back in time. The menu is extensive, but I'm happy with their burger and fries.

    - Dessert at Grayhawk Golf Club: The handspun milkshakes are phenomenal. I helped run a junior golf event there and went through way too many for one week.

Each of my meals clearly has ice cream following it ...

Bonus: The fried chicken that we had at the Team Titleist Invitational: Pine Needles gets a thumbs up in my book.

Looking forward to reading everyone's responses!

    - Abby

Mmmmm, nothing better than the 19th hole.

I usually bring granola my wife makes for during the round, but afterwards I'm always starving.  I've never set foot on Augusta, although we made palmetto cheese sandwiches for a viewing party.  I can't compare them to the real thing, but they were solid.I have also heard about the Greayhawk milkshakes.  I hear you can get them adult style, which is even better.

Here's my list of best clubhouse foods.

The breakfast burrito I had at TPC Harding Park was a real lifesaver.  I literally ran from my plane, to baggage claim, to the rental car and to the first tee.  The little halfway house was open but I didn't have time to wait.  Low and behold the woman was kind enough to drive the burrito out to me about 3 holes in.  It was epic.

The Keystone Ranch in CO has the best hotdog I've ever had.  It's a huge one and the homemade spicy mustard they have is second to none.

The Lobster bisque at TPC Boston is one of the best things ever (everything at TPC Boston is good).

I am also a huge fan of She Crab Soup which I had at Kiawah Island, and I fondly remember Buffalo Shrimp at TPC Sawgrass.

The chicken prosciutto sandwich with steak fires at Thompson CC's (my home club) Grille 19 is one of my all time favorites.

HotSauce has quite the resume of TPCs in his appetite.  However,  I am gonna have to go with the Chicken Parmesan sandy at Portsmouth CC, classic clubhouse bites.

  5. I live in Columbus and Double Eagle is a great course! I'm a member at TCC at Muirfield. After my round on a cold day I just crave a bowl of chili. On the warmer days, I get the club sandwich, tccmv probably has the best one I've ever had!

I had a delicious chicken salad sandwich on a croissant at cally Gardens. Cheeseburgers are very good at UGA Golf Course. I played a tournament at Great Waters at Reynolds Plantation and the buffet they had there was amazing. I also love to eat the fish and chips at my home club, Windermere Golf Club.

Unfortunately I cannot offer much in terms of the Grand tracks, but I'm a solid "Club" at nearly any course. It's tough to beat the traditional. Follow that with some Rold Gold's on the course. I trust I will be able to inform everyone after the Open at Oakmont in 2016, as I will be in attendance!

Well I have to be honest I didn't think about doing it by meal.  This is a whole different ball game now!

Breakfast - Robert Trent Jones Ross Bridge.  They have a breakfast buffet that is to die for.  At the omelet station the chef made me a crab and butter wine omelet.  Ok so I had 2.  No lie.  They have everything under the sun, with chefs there to make you whatever you want.

Lunch - The Burger Dog at the Olympic Club.  Cheese and onions piled high, with ketchup, mustard, and pickles.  Your brain is saying hotdog, but your mouth swears its a burger.

Dinner - I had a lobster at Warwick Country Club.  The food was better than the view of the bay.  My mouth is drooling thinking about this lobster.  I don't remember anything else I ate that night, but the lobster was huge, sweet, and so good!

Now I'm starving.  Thanks a lot Abby!  HA

Believe it or not, my Golf Partner and I enjoy an amazing Cheesburger (no bun) at our home Club (Deerfield CC, Clarkson )

We always arrive early enough to Have a bite to eat and a Cool Beverage before our round.   The Club offers one of the best in the area.

On the course its strictly water and an occasional Quest Bar for energy.  The 19th Hole always time for a good Cigar and Guiness.

Bandon Dunes has great food throughout the resort. All restaurants have a excellent selection and everything I had for the four days I was there tasted very good. I'm with Abby on the fried chicken at the Pine Needles Invitational. I don't eat a lot of fried foods but this was excellent. Finishing off a round at Pebble Beach and hitting the Tap Room is also a great place for food and beer.
