I would like to see more center shaft options...it seems the RedX2 has been the only true center shaft putter from Scotty. I think there are lots of other people like me out there who have a pendulum putting stroke where center shaft putters work really well...

Ye definetly. I would love to see a centre shafted fastback 1.5...like the one Rory McIlroy uses. Lots of people would defintely buy this if it came out. I would anyway!

As far as I know, it was never a production model but I would love to see the 009 available.

i would also like to see the RED X2 back because i also like the center shaft...if you wanted to try a centershafted blade you could try the Newport 2.6

I think he should do another newport beach....I love the beach putters...One thing I think he should do is offer custom options right from the start...If you order a putter, get it exactly how you want from the factory and not have to send it back to the custom shop...I'd like to see some different finish options, some additional stampings, specific headweight,etc....JAT

  9. I think he should do an all white putter.

Right on!  If Scotty would make a Newport Longneck, Beached, Studio Select I would retire my putter collection.

I love the Longneck models because it's a face-balanced blade.  I like the headshape of the Newport the most, the weighting options of the Select and the beach slot is awesome.

It would combine all three of my favorite putters- My TeI3 Longneck, Stainless Beach, and Studio Select.

What a stick that would be!

I couldn't agree more.  I'd love to be able to have my Custom Shop options done at the time of placing an order for a brand new putter, similar to how they are doing it on the Wedgeworks site now! :)

I'd also like to see the option to get the black oxide finish that we're seeing in a lot of the slideshows!

I would love to see the NAPA become a regular production putter.  They are so classic and feel like an extension of your body.

I'm looking to pick one up at this time.  Just don't want to make a house payment for it.

I couldn't agree more!  I'd love to be able to buy a bullet bottom Napa, without having to get rid of the rest of my collection to pay for it! LOL

Agreed.  I've been searching for one for quite some time.  A great putter (I've never actually held one), but I love the look.

Black finish, deep milling, newport head, adjustable weights.  When will the new Scotty lines come out?

You can set up your Custom shop options first - by going onto the site, picking out what you want to do to your putter, prepaying, and taking the "Work Order" number to your golf shop and having them order the putter with that "work order" number.  When the putter is completed, they will send it directly to the custom shop for customization and then back to you.

i like the 2006 circa 2 putter with the leather grip, and yellow head cover. ya thats the one!!!!
  18. I would like to see more lefty offerings:  A straight shaft, wide body with the toe hang would be different from any other lefty available that I know of.  How about the Fastback 1.5, Red X5, or Sonoma in LH.  I stock up and buy two.

Along with some of the other comments; Scotty needs to take care of the rank and file - the amateur players, not collectors. We want options from the factory, not be forced to spend another few hundred bucks to get limited options from the custom shop, options that aren't the same as the tour models (black finishes, deep face milling, etc.) We want face inserts without having to pay double the cost to find some limited edition model that you feel guilty about playing.

Now that my rant is over; I'd like to see basically the studio select line again, but with options to order face inserts, black finishes, custom headcovers, and mid-size grips from the factory. Scotty should launch a website like Vokey. Sure you pay a premium, but you get exactly what you want, made just for you. Leave the "My Girls", Teryllium Tens, and Holiday putters to the collectors that don't use them, just look at them and try to make money off them.

I am hoping for a production line of a Napa model. I think bringing back the Oil Can line with a fully milled face would be really sweet. Scotty should go back to his roots in the beginning and go old school, Old school Scotty is sweet!

Too many other Company's are making the Napa model but in a Limited Edition piece, for $300 I'd rather have a Scotty with an Old School head cover.

I dont use the Custom shop much, so the customization is secondary.

  23. Wow...I just spent the last 2 hours reading about Mr. Cameron's history with golf/putters. I bet that those companies/people that said "No" highly regret that they didn't give him a chance. Thanks to Mr. Uihlein, he got his big chance.

In OH, there was a gentleman who was good friends with Mr. Cameron. His collection would rival the Louvre, in terms of art and beauty. I've seen/putted with all kinds of Scotty's. I agree that his old school work is the best. I'm a huge fan of his 3X black and other black putters. From what I could tell, and I could be wrong, but...it seems like his Studio line(s) come out every 3 years or so, give or take. By my calculations, if that's the case, then we should be seeing a new Studio line here before too long.

Scotty is super addictive!  IMO it's usable art.  I love all my Scotty putters and covers, and I agree that his old stuff is his best.

As for new sticks, we might have a while to wait for a fresh batch of OTRs.  The California line came out pretty recently...  But like Scotty always says "you never know".

Please please don't make a white putter.  I tried one of those white putters at Golf Galaxy and they're so distracting and ugly IMO.  No offense to anyone, but I just hope the white club fad fades quickly.

How about an updated Beach sound slot putter - wonder if you could do that in a center shaft or whether the shaft would change the sound too much

I'm a big fan of my Newport beach.  The sound slot really does give it a difference in feel.  I would love to see something longneck again.  The face balanced blade is a thing of beauty!

Well I'm not a fan of this whole "white" fad going on, so while many have suggested it, there are other firms that have that "covered." Scotty should be in the "black mist" business, which I think is a nice connection to the oil can or blueish tint used on some of the former Studio Design products.

If I had a magic wand, I'd like to see some straight neck products with a larger head than the Del Mar line currently available. Not huge, but a more moderate size.

More options as far as finishes in the custom shop shop would be nice, since they do not do any work on altered finishes. It would be nice to have a select in a gun blue or dark finish like the tour guys. The deep milling and the non glare finish would be awesome if he would offer it as part of the restoration. Old School newport oil can with insert like a button back  in a dark finish and deep milling with cool crown stamping.

The Scotty I bag is the most beautiful putter ever made!!  It's a Studio Design No. 5, in black pearl finish.  Mine has the MB stamp (mid-bend shaft).  This putter has tremendous sentimental value.  However, the small mallet was never as good as with the SD No. 5.  Some years ago, I had a Red X for a short while.  I've also had the small mallets sold by the "O" company.  Nothing has seemed to work as well as this one.

If there was a Scotty to bring back to market, I'd certainly vote for the Studio Design No. 5... in black pearl!!

  36. I would like to see the classic cameron bulls eye

I mentioned in my post about the Studio Design #5 having "sentimental value".  Here's the quick story of my Scotty.

Christmas, 2007 our son was with the 82nd Airborne fighting in Iraq.  He was supposed to end his 15-month deployment in early February.  This was his second Christmas in Iraq.  Christmas Eve, they had a tough mission that was to take out an arms cache some miles from their base.  They were flown in by helicopter and dumped some distance from their target.  Within minutes of the chopper taking off, the unit began to take small arms fire.  The were able to take out their target, but also took casualties.  Two of his buddies who had already begun sending personal items home... ended up going home in coffins.

At that time, our son had doubts about whether or not he would make it home.  His sisters, his Mother, and I all received generous gift cards from him a few days later.  He had gone on line and felt that was a way of "sending Christmas home", even if he didn't make it back.  (Interesting how minds work when pushed beyond certain limits.)  He did make it home and, this past August, was reassigned to the Pentagon... non-deployable for the next 3 years.

After he did make it back home, I ran on to this beautiful Scotty on a rack at a golf shop.  I immediately fell in love with the uniqueness of the putter... and the feel of it.  My gift card from the son was used to purchase this Scotty and it won't ever be for sale... as long as the Good Lord allows me to remain on this Earth.

Over the years I have enjoyed this game, I have owned a number of Scotty Cameron putters... and later sold or traded them.  Seems many of us have trudged along the trail of seeking the Holy Grail of putters.  None of the putters have garnered the attachment to me as has this one.  None of the putters have performed on the course as has this one.  We have had many enjoyable rounds together on the course and will, hopefully, enjoy many more rounds together... my Scotty and I.

  38. CENTRE SHFT FASTBACK!!!! Rory Mcilroy has one and i reckon many people are in envy. I agree with the motion of more centre shaf putters and fastback centre shaft would be a really good putter!

Yeah, that's exactly what's wrong with the Scotty Custom Shop and customizing a Scotty at all. Why should we have to spend several hundred dollars to get a piece of paper that tells the sales rep and the custom shop how to customize the putter? Wouldn't it be more affordable for the consumer if Scotty would just take custom orders for putters like Titleist does for clubs? We're already paying $300+ for the putters ($500+ if you send it to the custom shop) and a new set of 712 CB's only cost around $1000. I have several Scotties and I have gamed one for 10+ years, but the custom shop just appears to be a money grab.
