Sunday my partner and I played in the finals of our clubs' two man best ball match play tourney. Playing well, I was 1 Under on the front, but we still made the turn Down 4. Handicapped events are tough and this was a perfect example. The 21 handicapper on the other side made par for net birdie, one after another. Net, he was in the 20's. And his partner helped with a birdie for net 1 on a par 3. Still, we played some good matches to get there and had a good run at it.
It was a weird season for me. One of some confidence damaging struggles. I shot my worst round in years, to see my handicap go to a 4, but rallied from late July on and in September back down to a 2. Also, shot my all time best round of 67. Jekyll and Hyde.
The leaves are falling here and there's only a couple weeks left until the club closes. We'll be in the makeshift range in our bag room on a simulator through the winter and waiting for the snow to melt.
