It's the putting for me. We don't have much of an off-season in North Florida, but my club has the Tiny Hole drill, where the hole is only 2" in diameter, barely enough for a ball to fit. Putting has been my nemesis this last year with several 3-putts that have precluded my breaking 70 for the first time. The drill is to make 2 putts in a row starting at 1 foot, and expanding out as far as possible. I recently found that the more I practice on the "Tiny Holes", when I transition to the regulation holes, they look like buckets. Aim small, miss small!

Working this winter on consistency in takeaway - tendency is to drift too much inside and get stuck/flat. Stole some ideas from my daughter's swing instructor using alignment rods and visual cues that are already helping. Want to groove it this winter!

Lower body stability and upper body mobility.
  14. I always need to work on slowing down the swing and keeping the arms firm and straight. Will do repetition work on this over our cold winter but will be warm in the hat!

Winter is bad in Massachusetts. Often my winter routine involves laying out a towel on the hardwood floor to practice putting.
  16. I'm a High School Golf coach and I've challenged my players to 10,000 putts this winter (one for every lake in Minnesota). Working on consistent stroke and muscle memory from 10 feet.

I'm going to practice on following through on my swing while keeping my hands forward.

I'm going to be working on positioning drills to keep my legs more quiet during my swing

Indoor practices sessions are a must! Work on full swing and develop muscle memory.
  20. My wife and I will turn the hallway into our practice putting green. Then we spend the winter having putting contests. Note: the hall has a slight break to the right at the end.
