    As we enter the final stretch of 2017 and get ready to flip our calendars for the New Year, we thought it would be fun to take a look back at some of our favorite Titleist moments from the past season.

    We’ll get things started on our end with this thread, but we want to hear from all of you! 

    Was there a favorite story on the blog or a discussion thread that you found yourself glued to? Maybe it was an event like the TT Invitational or taking part in a product test panel, or having the chance to meet another TT member in person. Whatever your favorite Titleist moment was, we hope you’ll share it by adding a reply below.

    And to kick things off, my favorite moment of 2017 was the TT Invitational. It’s always great to connect with TT members in person (and even better when it’s on the golf course) and I truly enjoy catching up with some familiar faces along with having the opportunity to meet some new people for the first time. I can honestly say that some of my best friends these days are TT members, and that’s what I think is so great about this game we all love so much.

    While I could not attend the TT Invitational. Had a blast on a couple of trips this year that involved other TT members.
    Birthday bash at Bethpage Black with a group of crazy friends was a great fun trip.
    Wisconsin visit to catch a game and play two major venues.
    Heading to Iceland for a FootJoy outing but all parties were Titleist diehards as well.

    Was truly an EPIC 2017. Looking forward to 2018.

    Glad to have been a part of a few of these trips with you Tiger, et al.

    The whole Bethpage experience was amazing - from being the first car in the lot (thanks to Speedy), finishing Bethpage Red in the dark and our everyone in our Foursome hitting the green in regulation and making par, to sharing leftover pizza with some Trash Pandas, and many other great memories of Birthday Bash.

    Having the pleasure of TT, Speedy and Sauce making the trip to Wisconsin to catch a game at Lambeau, play Whistling Straits and Erin Hills. Many other great stories from this trip and the 700 plus miles that live on in that Kia rental van.

    2017 was a great year and 2018 is shaping up to be even better...

    The Team Titleist Invitational was definitely a highlight of my year as well! I can't really pick one favorite moment, but I would say a top theme of moments would be when we have the opportunity to interact with PGA TOUR and LPGA players.

    To take a little stroll down memory lane, I'll start with the U.S. Open Championship at Erin Hills, where I think I logged 15,000+ steps a day:

    In June, I travelled with our Titleist Tour Reps to Washington D.C. for the Quicken Loans National, where they conducted Tour seeding for the new Titleist 718 irons. It was incredible to see the culmination of work that our golf club R&D team was dedicated to come to fruition in the hands of the world's best players.



    A few weeks later, I had the opportunity to watch players including Patton Kizzire, J.T. Poston, Graham DeLaet, Bobby Wyatt and so many more test the new Titleist 818 hybrids.



    One more adventure that I want to share was our leadership shoot in Chicago, where we captured an endless amount of content that will be coming your way in 2018!

    Missed this year's as the last Titleist Invitation ever due to work. Last year's intro to the 917 drivers set up the big improvement in my game this year. I've been setting up short irons on par 5s due to the consistent gains with the D2. The best example was at Tobacco Road. Inconsistent drives on my previous visit made for some very difficult holes, but this time every drive was long and where it needed to go. Didn't play a second shot from a waste area all day. Finished the year with a birdie on the par 5-18 on Pinehurst #1 with a chip-in. The game became fun this year. Hoping for an early spring in Wisconsin and a chance for another Invitational in 2018.

    Just wanted to share a story with Titleist family;

    I currently play AP2 712; was fitted, with KBS Tour, Regular flex...when they came out...loved them, and saw my game really improve. Prior, i had set of 962....had those for 10+ yrs.

    For myself, whenever i go to a golf store, i love to look, but i never hit any balls. Reason for this is...if i hit, i will want to buy.

    I was in a golf shop, and buying some new balls (NXT); and on the counter, were the new 718 line. AP-1; AP-2; AP-3; CB and MB. All very sleek. Gentleman at the counter....said go ahead...you'll be the first to hit them....i said why not!!!!

    Hitting them, the AP-2 was typical AP-2; nice feel, nice sound....you didn't need to see the data; cause u know the strike was a good strike and you know where the ball went....and good feedback.

    During next few months, i break my personal oath, and visit Golftown, and hit some ball, Titleist of course, trying out the different models and different shafts. Not being any expert, you try to fit yourself.....staff there was so-so when it came to help.

    Take me now to Black Friday; Golftown was blowing out there 716 AP-2; 4-PW + GW; $750 with free shipping. Used, but excellent condition. When they arrived, they were truly MINT, not a mark on them, some of the clubs still had wrap on the grips.

    I recently purchased New set of AP2 716 from Golftown.....got a steal of a deal.

    Only issue i had was with the fitting, they came with Dynamic Gold AMT, stiff shaft. standard lie....etc. My current set was AP2 712. Although nice, i knew had to get spec'd out.

    Enter now, Kathy Stecyk from Titleist Regional Fitting Ctr, here in Surrey, BC. She had previously fitted me for my AP-2 712; after various conversations, I asked her if i just went with what i have; (KBS Tour and bend 2 degrees) should this be ok? She told me to get my butt into see her to; and lets get on a launch monitor (Trackman) and make sure.

    During the fitting, her attention to detail; spin; launch angle; carry distance; smash factor....explaining what they meant, how it would impact my game. She asked questions about my game.....and at the end, got fitted to a different shaft, than what i had previously.

    Getting them now Re-shafted, and adjusted....

    Few lessons:
    1) never swing a club....likely you will end up buying them
    2) get fitted

    I walk out of there, thinking reason why i choose and stay with Titleist
    1) quality clubs
    2) great resale (sold my old AP-2's.....literally could of sold them 8x)
    3) Mostly; it is the Professionals like Kathy Stecyk you get to deal with. No pressure, no sales pitch, takes the time to get you into what you need to play your best, explains what is going on and explains the numbers to you.

    Will do the wedges in spring with Kathy.

    2017 was a good year.. Where does Speedy begin….

    Well the TOP highlight for me was going to the Masters.. The experience of attending the Masters can’t be beat…

    Took a few amazing trips with some great TT buddies and will echo what Tiger and Tyler said.... Bethpage Black to celebrate someone’s 40th bday was a great trip, lots of good laughs and good memories. Nothing beats having the first 2 tee times at Bethpage..

    Wincy trip was also an amazing trip and can’t thank Tyler enough for putting it together. So many items knocked off the bucket list from this trip. Going to a Packers game and then playing 2 major venues; Erin Hills and Whistling Straits. It’s tough to top a trip like that.. I didn’t even wanna go home… One thing I did learn though, never eat a whole bag of beef jerky.. Bad idea and I’ll save that story for another day..

    Visiting Ball Plant 3 and getting a chance to meet Morgan Hoffman.. What an amazing learning experience on how the #1 ball is made… If you haven’t signed up yet to visit the ball plant, DO IT…

    And last but not least, retaining the Empty Cup with my partner Rich T. Nothing better than taking down Team Handsome.. And this time it was a LEGIT win… A great way to end a year….

    Already looking forward to 2018 with you all and you better believe a few trips have already been planned with some handsome and not so handsome TT members.; TH40 and TP2018.. Like Michael Breed, LET’S DO THIS!

    I am forever grateful to come across the Team Titleist community. The people I’ve been able to meet on here has been awesome and really enjoyed reading all the postings.. Keep them coming!!!

    Wish I could have made the Invitational work, I'm sure it was a blast!

    Some of my own favorite Titleist moments in 2017 were:

    1) First putt-in Eagle on one of the toughest par 5s around,, has a humungous tree on a hill right in the middle of the fairway.. Very tough to get there in two.
    2) First time breaking 80 on a tough course (same course- The Golf Club at Boulder Ridge in San Jose).
    3) The pre-release 718 fitting at La Rinconada in Los Gatos and meeting a few of the amazing behind the scenes Titleist staff!

    Two memories from 2017 come to mind. On a family trip to Myrtle Beach, was lucky enough to meet up with some fellow TT'ers and FJC members and had a great time. Maybe we didn't play so well, (ok it was mostly me), but the experience was well worth it. Hoping to do so again next year.

    The other was a trip to Vegas in late September. Was fortunate to play my favorite course, TPC Las Vegas, twice while there. Took some great pictures, played some very mediocre golf, but had fun.

    I enjoyed reading about the Team Titleist Invitational as well. Unfortunately being out here in the North West corner of the country I was not able to participate. Of course who could complain about all the contest and sweeps that come our way. Especially the SM6 wedges Mr. Vokey and his team surprised me with. I am truly a lifelong Titleist fan and proud of it.

    A few highlights for me in my first year with TT......

    The highlight of my year, in many ways, was my Titleist Thursday fitting. This fitting and the end result, represented a personal triumph for me, which I won't detail here for time sake. From going to Furman with my wife for the fitting, to receiving my set, I have genuinely enjoyed the process of pursuing brand exclusiveness with Titleist. My game has improved, and I could not have more faith in my equipment. TT has been a great source of wisdom, passion, and information; which has inspired a much higher level of motivation for me.

    In addition to my fitting, I really enjoyed the TT pumpkin carving. It was a lot of fun!

    TT helped me come to terms with the fact that iron covers might be a little excessive, and I have since saved time by not using them. Any small victory against my OCD is great! haha

    I suppose one of my favorite post's was from Dale V about his AVX ace. It was awesome to see his trophy case for his two HIO Titleist's (something to strive for). I still feel that he could be the very first person to get a hole in one with the AVX! Exciting thought anyway.

    OH and one more, getting an invite from Cathi to be one of the few lucky ones to get fitted for the 718 line before their release AND as an added bonus, placing an order that day and getting them BEFORE the release in the stores.. Now that's what I call taking care of your people. Titleist will ALWAYS be #1 in my book.

    Three events important this year.

    In the spring had the opportunity to work along side the FJ (pic below) and Titleist Reps at the RBC Heritage at Sea Pines at Hilton Head Resort for three days for the Pro AMs. Assisted participants in selecting shoes and apparel.

    This summer had the opportunity to play the TPC at Southwind in Memphis, home of the FedEx St Jude's Classic. Having lived in Memphis for ten years and worked for Levi Strauss as a District Manager we had been a corporate sponsor I had never played the course. Shame on me. Business came first and did not play golf back then. Always gave my passes to my wife and she took her friends most of the time. Also this summer this summer met with Chris, Sawyer, and Keith, members of TT and we played TPC @ Myrtle Beach. Always awesome to meet up with members for a great time.

    And last by far from being least on my list is the TT Invitational. Much has been said on the site about this year's event and it all is true. Great accommodations, outstanding food, the courses were pristine, the staff at Sawgrass were ever so gracious, and the folks from Titleist, always rock stars. They always provide us with something to remember, but yet always something to look forward to the next year. Many thanks again guys.

    In the upcoming year, may your ball fly higher with less spin off the driver, thus giving you a little more distance and hopefully the ball will land closer to the center of the fairway. May those irons produce a sweet feeling shot that lands softly on the green and closely so that and occasional eagle may land and a few more birdies appear on the card. Keep you hands forward and you eyes on the ball and have a Merry Christmas. Cheers, Chuck.........

    Hi, everyone!

    I agree with Mike and Abby that the 2017 Team Titleist Invitational was a highlight of the year. TPC Sawgrass was a fantastic host and we learned a lot from the experience (and from the feedback provided by TT members who attended) that will help us to keep improving the event for years to come.

    I have two moments that I'd like share again and, like the TT Invitational, they both involved sharing a few laughs and making some new friends. The first is a video that we published at the very beginning of the year. We had a blast filming this video with our Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists and as you'll see, they really seemed to enjoy our new spin on the old closest-to-the-pin challenge:

    The second moment I'd like to revisit took place in September, when we met Spencer and Gaines Beard. It was the first time that we welcomed a son and his father to the home of Titleist as the Grand Prize winners of our annual Team Titleist Ultimate Experience Contest.

    Oh man where to begin... 2017 was a crazy year that just flew by. I played less golf than I ever have (not a good thing), but played well at times and had a lot of fun.

    I started my year with a round at Kapalua and shot my best score there in a total monsoon. I played with this crazy Canadian guy who was super pumped to be there despite the weather. We were the only people not to call it after 9, and he kept me motivated even though we were both totally unprepared for the rain on the last 3 holes. Making a birdie with a Furykesq backwards hat with "sideways stinging rain" coming down is a memory I'll never forget.

    Bethpage Black was epic in every sense of the word. I've never laughed so hard, been so frustrated looking for balls less than a yard off the fairway, nor been so impressed with a course in my life. I knew it was going to be good, but not that good. Meeting Jordan of the Dapper Drive and chilling with Tiger, BJ, Higgs, Speedy, Handsome, and Thurbs has to be a highlight. Maybe next time I won't overindulge and get more than 3 hours of sleep before playing one of the hardest tracks out there... on second thought I wouldn't change a thing.

    Next up was my club's Member guest. It's the biggest tournament of the year with a good purse. I've played in it for the past 5 years, and this year we finally won the whole dang thing. We both played well when we had to, and dinged and donged our way to a victory! This was right before work got crazy (and golf took a backseat until Wincy) and sort of my last big weekend.

    And then there was Wincy. If Wisconsin isn't on your bucket list you' ought to reevaluate. Higgs is a heck of a tour guide and has the patients of a monk to deal with Tiger and I riding in the back seat of a min van (with cooler access). THANK YOU TYLER! Getting to play 2 word class tracks, Speedy downing a costco size bag of jerky in 30 min, and Higg's eagle at Ridgeway was nothing short of amazing- Could be the best trip ever.

    Last, but certainly not least was playing some golf with my Dad. My Dad gave up the game when I was in high school and recently picked it up again. We played a course I grew up on when I was back home in CO and had a blast. It's not a top 100, but it's a Donald Ross, still in great shape, and full of memories. We had a blast, and now he's got the bug. He's playing every week, and we played twice on my last trip- both were his suggestions. I wish he didn't give up the game for 15-20 years, but I'm happy to have him back!

    2017 was a blast!

    I can't wait to see what 2018 brings.

Making a birdie with a Furykesq backwards hat with "sideways stinging rain" coming down is a memory I'll never forget.

    Bethpage Black was epic in every sense of the word. I've never laughed so hard, been so frustrated looking for balls less than a yard off the fairway, nor been so impressed with a course in my life. I knew it was going to be good, but not that good. Meeting Jordan of the Dapper Drive and chilling with Tiger, BJ, Higgs, Speedy, Handsome, and Thurbs has to be a highlight. Maybe next time I won't overindulge and get more than 3 hours of sleep before playing one of the hardest tracks out there... on second thought I wouldn't change a thing.

    Next up was my club's Member guest. It's the biggest tournament of the year with a good purse. I've played in it for the past 5 years, and this year we finally won the whole dang thing. We both played well when we had to, and dinged and donged our way to a victory! This was right before work got crazy (and golf took a backseat until Wincy) and sort of my last big weekend.

    And then there was Wincy. If Wisconsin isn't on your bucket list you' ought to reevaluate. Higgs is a heck of a tour guide and has the patients of a monk to deal with Tiger and I riding in the back seat of a min van (with cooler access). THANK YOU TYLER! Getting to play 2 word class tracks, Speedy downing a costco size bag of jerky in 30 min, and Higg's eagle at Ridgeway was nothing short of amazing- Could be the best trip ever.

    Last, but certainly not least was playing some golf with my Dad. My Dad gave up the game when I was in high school and recently picked it up again. We played a course I grew up on when I was back home in CO and had a blast. It's not a top 100, but it's a Donald Ross, still in great shape, and full of memories. We had a blast, and now he's got the bug. He's playing every week, and we played twice on my last trip- both were his suggestions. I wish he didn't give up the game for 15-20 years, but I'm happy to have him back!

    2017 was a blast!

    I can't wait to see what 2018 brings.

    Hotsauce - these pictures bring back some great memories of 2017. Looking forward to making some more in 2018. Here's to playing more sick tracks in 2018 and most importantly getting to hang with great friends.

    On December 8, I drove down from Vermont to take the tour of Ball Plant 3. I had a fantastic time. The whole Pro V manufacturing process is amazing! All the steps that go into making the number one ball in golf is something to see in person. The folks who designed all the robotics that allow all those Pro-V's to journey from set up to the next deserve some major kudos! Thank you Hank and Team Titleist!

    I also had two dozen personalized Pro-V1's waiting for me upon arrival. One dozen with the TT logo and the other with Vokey Wings. Thank you June!

    To be able to see the whole process, and all the quality control steps that go into making a Pro-V was truly awesome. There were only five people in our tour group. One guy was on his 5th tour! (Said he knew Speedy!)
    Maybe some time in the Spring, I work out another tour and get in some golf!

    This year I wasn't able to make any TT events. However, I have had numerous communications on TT Forum. Always enjoyable and educational. Best event was meeting Bill Forbes - Fitter in Charleston, SC area. He worked at Titleist HQ and was a great source of information. The fitting experience was outstanding. Trying to get to him for iron fitting.

    I have to jump in on this one. I know Billy and you are correct, a great fitter and individual. He lives down the road from me and I go to him at the Titleist Thursdays for fittings also. Billy and I have worked together at FJ/Titleist sponsored events (member/guests) around the state. My Titleist bag is full of Billy fitted clubs. We are fortunate to have him in the lowcountry.

    What another great post Mike D. Post like this one, where so many of the TT family is always a highlight of my year. Number 1 though, would have to be getting fitted for the first time, and getting my first set of AP1s. The confidence you get with your bag full of Titleist club's is so important. To me anyway. Thanks to the TT family, for making this great game even that much more enjoyable. Your post and remarks make my day so many times. A sincere thank you to you all.

    This year for was very cool, as I was able to purchase my first set of Titleist clubs-AP1's, and upgrade to a new Titleist cart bag. Looking to upgrade to some Titleist hybrids as well. But the most important for me was being able to play numerous rounds with my son, son-in-law and friends at Myrtle Beach, in WV and VA. I also have found insightful comments on the TT Board. I am currently sitting on 74 rounds for the year, having missed the month of May due to knee surgery, so that's a pretty good year. Looking for round 75 if the weather holds out this week. Oh...and the icing on the cake...our new baby granddaughter! So for me...a great year, involving Titleist, Family & Friends! Happy holidays!
