I have to agree with you Todd. It does not seem too friendly. But, I'll give it a chance. I have noticed that I have not spent nearly as much time on the forums as I did with the old version. Probably because of how much extra time it seems to take to navigate through it. Subconsciously, I think I lose interest when I try to find what I'm looking for. I'll get over it. I hope. I mean, it IS Titleist we're talking about. Need my fix.

I taught graphic communications at the college level for 11 years and was a creative director for a highly-respected design communications firm for 25 years. Not sure the changes to the forum are positive enough to outweigh any negatives from the old version. What are they trying to accomplish with this version? It is not immediately clear.

But, again, I'll cut them some slack. It IS Titleist and I don't ever like to complain about my favorite golf brand. The golf equipment and customer support part of them is still second to none. Forum logistics may just not be their strong point. Can't have everything. ;-)

Is it just me or does anyone else think the new format of this website makes it more difficult to communicate ? Bring back the old format, please.

My apologies but I'm not a fan of the new format. It seems like it is more difficult to navigate. Perhaps in time I will get use to it....perhaps.

    Hey Darren,

Thanks for your honest and direct feedback as well. As I mentioned in my reply above to Todd, any additional details you're able to provide would be great for us to hear. We'll keep fine tuning the experience and do what we can to deliver some improvements.

    Thanks,
    Mike

The new format breaks into too many subgroups. I don't like having to check through 6 or 8 different groups to see comments. Before I could just scroll through all the discussions and take part in those of interest. Can't do that now. Probably will limit my involvement in this discussion site.

I don’t like it, it hard to find what you want, bring back the one version.

Change is sometimes difficult to get accustomed to but I believe time (and patience) will be needed to navigate this new site. It's like with a new club...need some range sessions to dial it in!

    Hi Todd,

Thanks for the candid feedback. If you're able to share any additional details around what you don't like or what you would like to see changed, it would be greatly appreciated. We're always looking for ways to enhance and improve the experience, and certainly open to input.

    Thanks again!

Mike its just to hard to navigate through. It took me three days to even figure out where the Discussion page went or how to comment on it.
I think the old format was perfect.
  19. Hi Mike,

Can't speak for others, but I liked the chronological view of the postings, where I could just look at the most recent topics, the hodge-podge of posts, and what's the latest buzz. Kinda like channel surfing and seeing what catches your attention.

    Hope that helps.

Hi Mike - there are some good points. I don’t remember the like option before. That’s a nice touch. What seems to be lost is following trending new topics. Sure, they’re all there but there’s more navigation to click through the primary topics to see all the latest posts. My software company is constantly counting clicks to perform routine tasks, so I’m sensitive to counting. After a day or so, this is getting easier - on a tablet. Can’t say it works easily enough on a smartphone

I do miss having a single thread to review the most recent posts, which seems to be a concern of many other participants on this forum. This is just a convenient way to quickly catch up on comments. I would echo an earlier comment I saw from Darren K. about having a separate view of comments such as "Recent Discussions" that would enable the single view. If there's a technical concern about the volume of posts in this view than perhaps it could be restricted, for instance, to a rolling seven days.

An advantage to the new format is we can be more focused on reviewing posts in a specific category of interest. Under the old format I was able to do this via the site search.

Just an observation. What we had prior when we're logged on is the actual discussions/story page from different forum subject category- The Clubhouse, Ball, Travel...etc. and they were posted in its chronological order. The discussions were updated and published as the moderator approves it on top of an older discussion. It's a random feed of what comes in on a page by page from newest back to its oldest posts. Also at the same time, if anyone wanted to go to a specific forum subject category like the 'Ball' in example, there is an option to jump into that forum header or category so we could click on it and find what people had posted in it. (sorry, I know that most everyone knew that, but that's how I roll.)

What seems and looks to me today or what's out now, I think it is still the same, without the random feed. The stories and discussions are still in with their respective Forum topic category although the user would now have to go into the specific topics category (header) to see what the content/discussions are in it. No longer would you see the title of discussions/stories first before selecting a category.

Either way works for me. But I also agree that it takes longer to go through and see 'what's new' in every category without the random topic discussion/story feed page.

It works for me because I'd only have a few minutes each time I visit. In what we have today, it's well organized as to where I need or where I want to go in a category selection. The down side is that I may miss something that had been a hot topic or something I probably would have been interested with in a category that I didn't visit, either because I didn't have the time or wasn't interested looking or opening the category. But then in the other way, I would also see many other posts that I'm not interested in at the time before I get to what I'd like to read about.

All in all, I'm just happy we have Team Titleist and Titleist itself.

As with all things Titleist, there is a constant movement toward improvement.

    My two cents:

Do away with all categories and make one one category.

    I'd call it, "Discussions."

    Less is more.

Instead of the lay out being horizontal, thus wasting much needed space, make it vertical.

List all post from each day. Listed by time it was posted.

Therefore, we can pick and chose the posts we want to explore further.

You can put an entire week on one page with just the subject line.

Once we click on a post, it becomes another color, like google.

I've been a member of Team Titleist since 2010.

I will always continue to support this site.

Perhaps seeking the feedback of the members before making changes, like the Team does with hats, bags, etc., would soften the blow of radical change.

We are all creatures of habit.

Steve Jobs constantly adjusted the Apple Universe, and we all "hated it." At first. Then we adjusted.

Therefore, ultimately, I'll accept what the powers that be put out.

Oh, one final thought. Love the loss of, "I'm not a robot!!!"

Just my humble opinion, but the navigation is difficult. I like the old format better where all the "recent" topics or posts were on the front page of the discussion link. Having to go thru each separate topic to to review new discussions is a bit frustrating. I'm trying my best to like this new format.

Navigation: The layout is good and easy to read/find.
Other features: Follow Thread, Like, Quote, Reply and no posting verification are all great.

Request: Add another Category "Most Recent/Current" or the way it was before. You can add the other categories to the top of the page and have them anchored when scrolling. Thus if someone wants to go to a specific category they can, otherwise they can just browse all of the topics from most recent to oldest.

I seem to spend more time looking through each category than actually looking at posts.

Not a fan - I think it’s the boxes around each post. Just makes the screen to divided or busy. Less is more...
