I'm really sick of having to buy new gloves every month and was wondering what the best way to clean and remove stains from a glove without harming it was?

as soon as mine dries after play I put it right back in the package..........keeps it good for a little longer I play twice a week.

Yup! I also buy two and alternated between the two of them. I think it extends the life of the glove.

+1 on buying several gloves and alternating between them during the round. I usually switch out during the round when my glove starts getting soaked from sweat. Summers in Memphis are hard on gloves.

I use a common leather conditioner and cleaner and let it dry after. Keeps the gloves supple and cleaner longer.

Throw it in the wash. I'm serious. I always do mine with cold water, when it comes out, smooth it out and let it dry. After, put it on, and it will have shrunk a little, but the crusty sweat will have come off for the most part, and your glove will be freshened up again! You can probably do this twice or so before it starts to get worn out, mine will have gotten a hole in it by then.

+1 MIKE.
I USE 3 A DAY-HOUSTON WEATHER IN SUMMER.
I WASH MINE ABOUT ONCE A WEEK (PLAY 4-5 TIMES A WEEK).
I ONLY USE ACUSHNET GLOVES SO THAT MIGHT MAKE A DIFFERENCE--THEY ARE PRETTY TOUGH.
WORKS LIKE A CHARM

I rotate between three gloves..but, I may try the washing idea. I've never heard of doing that but, will try it.

I've never heard of the washing thing either! I'll give it a shot though. I think gloves tear up a lot faster no that parts of them are synthetic materials. Full leather all the way.

After play, be sure to place the glove back in the package and then...this is key...place your package into a zip-lock bag to seal in the "freshness". I picked this trick up this year and the gloves have stayed softer for a few extra weeks.
Good Luck

Thats also true. You can also actually wash it on delicate/cold and then air dry in the drier. It comes it so soft and supple. The trick is to put scented dryer sheet in the glove softens and refreshens.

I have not heard of washing either, I think i will give it a try. I use multiple leather gloves since it is HOT in GA most of the year. I change them out overy couple of holes. I let them dry by hanging them on the golf cart and after the round when they are dry, the gloves go back int he package until next round. Most of the time I start wearing a hole in them after 8-12 rounds.

I have thrown mine in the washer with a load of clothes too and it gets the glove clean put makes it a bit stiff. But, it does loosen up after you wear it.

thanks for all the great ideas for keeping a glove good for longer i love team titleist...
Then instead to make it soft put a dryer sheet in the glove and then dry it on air only or low

i always have more than one in the bag at all times and usualy wear one for practice and a diffrent one wheni play i think it extends the life alot longer that way personaly
