I'm going to The Masters for the Tuesday practice round. Any tips and suggestions from those who have been there before?

Be sure to get there very early. Gates open earlier than they tell you. You'll be on the premises but not allowed on the course until 8am I believe. This area between the parking lot and the course itself is where the big merchandise building is, go in there first thing to get it out of the way. Buy as much as you can afford and then maybe a little bit more. You can ship everything straight to your house from the course. The shipping area is right next door to the merch building, do it. It is cheap and much better than carrying everything around all day. Once your done shopping head straight out to the course. You come onto the course next to the #1 fairway, tee box to the left and green to the right. First notice the view from the first fairway, you can see most of the course from there as it the highest point on the course. Head left up to the clubhouse, putting green area. From there head down #10 straight to Amen Corner. If you get there before the big crowds arrive you can get some very good pictures, as you are allowed to take a camera on practice round days (no phones remember). Amen Corner is amazing, spend as much time there as you can. From #11 green to #12 tee is very picturesque and the walk down #13, this is all amazing. Close to #13 green is #16 tee. Sit in the bleachers to the left on #16 right on the pond. From here you can watch players putt on #15 and play all of #16. This is a cool place to sit because the players skip the balls on the water on #16 during practice rounds which is a lot of fun to watch. After you get these big items off the list I suggest you get some delicious food. I would suggest one item but they are all good. A pro tip is to get a pimento cheese and a chicken sandwich, take the cheese from the pimento sandwich and put it on the chicken sandwich. Its delicious. Then walk the course from start to finish. I went to Wednesday in 2017, the only time in history to have the par 3 rained out. It was a major bummer but I busted my butt around the course and saw the whole thing. The only thing I regret was not taking enough pictures. I took plenty but wish I slowed down to take more. The green complexes are amazing, you'll want photos of most (all) of them. Have a great trip and enjoy the experience. I'm excited for you! Hope this is helpful. I have a friend who goes every year. This was the itinerary he gave me.
