I won a foursome in a raffle yesterday and since it would be about a 1 1/2 trip for me (south of Boston), just wondering if it would be worth the drive. Any opinions-thanks.

Hey Jim! It's funny you post this... I just played there for the first time yesterday in a tournament. It's a short track, i think 6300 from tips, tight fairways, in good shape and a lot of blind shots that just killed me. It was an interesting course to play. If you're looking for scenery I think you'll be disappointed, nothing blew me away.

Would I go back? I would go back to see if I can go lower but i won't be in a rush.

But since it's a free round w/ 3 of your buddies, yeah I would say it's worth a trek to check it out. It's private and hard to get on so why not. If it was public, then I would say no. And if you want good pizza, check out La Festa Pizza in downtown Dover. So good.

I used to play here regularly and like Speedy says there are some blind shots and it is a short track. But it was always in outstanding shape when I was playing, and this being the fall, when all the courses are at their best, I think you'll find it worth the drive. Have a good time
  4. Since it would be a hike for you guys, why not make it a weekend trip. Lots of good public courses around there no more than 15/20 minutes. You could try: The Oaks in Somersworth (next town over), The Links at Outlook in South Berwick, Maine , and the Ledges in York, Maine. Prices are pretty good- some running fall specials. You won’t be disappointed, always a good time. And Speedy was right, LaFesta has some good pizza. Outlook Tavern at the Links has some great brews on tap!
