This Thursday starts the annual championship for senior club professionals.  Today the  first senior woman pro made it into the field.  Sherry A is from the Colorado PGA section, but, you can find her in La Quinta teaching at one of the desert courses during the Colorado winters. Wanamaker GC greens were slick and fast and it was fun to watch her and the guys navigating the course.

Yeah, that's the approach to the 18th green on the Wanamaker course here at PGA Golf Club (We also have the Dye and Ryder courses). Been a member here for 2 1/2 years now. Hey Cathi it sounds like your here. I'll be working the leaderboard on Saturday from 1pm 'til finish at 15 Green/16 Tee. Stop by and say hello.

We tried but fell short. The wind made choosing clubs a little more difficult than normal. But there is always next year. Sherry made the first cut and *** even today (Saturday) so we are rooting her on!

Congratulations to both Sherry A and Mr. Cathi. Hope they compete on the weekend.

No question - follow the signs and let balls in the damp rough/water be gone. We had a short delay on the Ocean Course starting on hole 12. Had to let a 10 footer cross the cart path around the 10th tee box. Being about 30 feet back in a cart was as close as I ever want to get.

Good luck, and play well!. My own club pro from Massachusetts, a good Titleist man, qualified and will be playing, so I'll be routing for him.

I really enjoy the sound of a glass ceiling shattered with a Titleist ball! Best of luck, Sherry!

Hi Cathi, sorry that Kurt missed the cut. Was looking forward to meeting you at the leaderboard tomorrow. Just missed you a couple of times at the Titleist tent on the south range. I hope that you both enjoyed your time at our wonderful club and I hope you give it another go next year. I should have mentioned it earlier but Ryan Chrysler is only about 10 miles from PGA Golf Club. Have a safe trip home.

My good friend Paul Norris played again this year. Has played in quite a few regular and now senior PGA Professionals Championships. Great teacher and long time Titleist guy.

Just checked the final standings. Sherry performed admirably - 1 over for four rounds. Great showing.
