  1. I know this isn’t Titleist related but did anyone happen the catch the Ben Hogan documentary on the Golf channel? What an amazing story! A true champion who didn’t let anything get in his way of his determination to prove that you can do anything if you put your mind to it!

As you can see by my user avatar... I love Ben Hogan! Simply the best ball striker that ever laid his hands on a golf club. Haven't watched it yet, but have it recorded on the DVR. What an amazing story though, and American icon.
  4. Hogan was an incredibly determined and self motivated man. He put in a ton of work to overcome some huge obstacles that life threw at him. Very amazing man! I always enjoy hearing stories about him!

NOBODY worked as hard on his game as Ben Hogan. Vijah Singh and Tiger were probably next. Great show

An interesting observation was made at the end of part 2. Had Hogan's father not committed suicide, would a young Ben Hogan ever have turned to golf to deal with his pain? Regardless, a revealing look into complex person, yet arguably, the greatest combination of ball striking, competitive results and sheer guts ever.
  9. Saw the first installment. It is Titleist connected because that is the ball Hogan preferred for much of his career. Read a story in one of his biographies that MacGregor, his equipment company, wanted him to play their Tourney ball in an upcoming US Open. They set up a test between their ball and Titleist to try and convince Hogan to switch. The test used a mechanical golfer. After the demo Hogan was asked what he thought. He answered “Enter the ******* machine in the US Open.”
