Me too. I have an annual range membership at our golf course so i probably am there on a 4:1 ratio to playing.

The Top Flight tracker is free on Tuesdays at the local outdoor range. Gloves, wool hat, 2 layers, gas heater cranked, did about 80 balls in 24 degree temps. Was looking for ball speed and launch angles differences between the longer clubs/woods in the bag. With beat up cold range balls, didn't much worry about the distance, just the differences. ...No shortage of open bays.

Only 17 today (6 on the way to work). That would be 3-4 layers and definitely hard to get full range of motion. Note the range is only closed on 12/25. Open 364 days a year. What can I say - a fine line between being hardy and being insane.

I love going to the range, especially in the morning (less people). However I never get an extra large bucket...only a small or large. There is also a chipping area where I will spend hitting about 80 chip shots around the green area.

I need to get myself down to get some practise in but I’ll need to sort out a proper plan as I tend to get fed up after 20/30 balls and I just smash them as hard and fast as I can.....................waste of time energy and money.

I'm known for spending more time on the range than most people. Then again, most people spend almost zero time on the range. Those are the ones who also hate getting beat by me, as if my range work provides me with some sort of unfair advantage.

When I get a chunk of time for practice I'll plug in the air buds and crank some tunes. People know to leave me alone if I've got music going. If I don't, it's not a serious practice session and I'm open to being more social.

Like Jerry M above, our club built a new short game practice area and it's been a great tool to use. The work we do there has really helped my wife's game and hasn't hurt me none either!

I live north of Don O. We've got a LOT of snow already. The only range work we're going to get here is indoors in a two station range we set up in our bag room, or a simulator. A new local business just opened with 4 simulator bays, a bar and limited bar food menu. They've got some leagues set up and the first couple weeks there have been promising.

Love spending time on the range, even if I don't solve my issue that day I feel like it was a good day. Very peaceful too. Only worry about contact not anything else.

The range is where I first fell in love with the game of golf.

Think I will follow Todd's thinking and spend a little more time on the range in 2020. I normally play three to four days a week and I have a short lesson once a week with my pro. He and I play at once a week and he kinda tweeks my game on the course as we play. My game is ongoing. Hopefully will need to get my game back into shape after this layoff with the back issues and the injections. Has been Nov 5th since I have been able to play full time, played twice since my first injection on November 22nd and it did not work. Second injections on Dec 16th and cannot play until January 14th. Some will need some range time before heading to Orlando the end of January for golf and the PGA show.

Love the range! It is a chance for me to get away from reality for a bit and decompress. I could hit balls every day if life (and weather) permitted.

Tend to use the range when courses are closed or for warm ups prior to comps
