How do you like your net?
Shopping for one now is challenging...many of the quality brands are sold out.

    Cheers,

So far so good, I have been taking my time with the shots and aiming, it is a little smaller than I wanted and for the price we paid for it, I am still a little cautious about taking full driver shots, if anything I am learning to slow down my swing a bit, for the couple full power shots I have taken with the driver it held up just fine.

I didn't know you were cleared to swing yet. Good Luck to the practicing! Go slow and build it up!

Not officially fully cleared out yet Sean, I am cleared for light practice, not to play yet, with the COVID 19 my Xray and appointment got pushed to May 14th.
Hence the very limited amount of swings per day, sticking to 25 for now, and only a couple full speed swings per practice session.

Also doing an 80/20 between foam balls and real ball practice, so for now, 20 hits are foam balls and only 5 are real golf balls.

I've been looking to build my backyard setup for a while now and always seeing expensive netting for a custom setup. Nothing priced reasonable. Finally I ran across this and the prices are pretty good!

  9. Nice set up! I’ve been looking into a net for the back yard and that looks compact and easy to set up, thanks for the idea.

    Ended up building my own.
    6 pieces of 25mm conduit
    1 piece of 20mm conduit
    6 connectors
    1 Fishing net
    1 borrowed range mat
    1 Square of artificial grass
    6 lengths of Foam insulation
    Duck Tape and cable ties.

    Ended up with this.

  12. Wow,you have a pretty big backyard. It’s even bigger than my house itself by far !
  13. I bought Net Return and added the sides as well just in case of shanks. If anything it’s the height I have a problem with - can’t use wedges in case it goes over.

And I use a mevo and mevo plus to check data and have some sim golf. Fortunately all arrived in time for lockdown.

Living in Orwell you're not far from Neshobe. Played there once and hope to get back someday. Very scenic and fun. You're also not far from Devil's Bowl but that's a different sport for a different clientele...however racing and golf can both be expensive hobbies!

Lance, I had been a member at Neshobe for over 20 years. That is awesome that you played there! It is a great course with really nice greens and challenging holes. Speaking of challenging, how did you do on #10? "The hardest par 3 in the state of Vermont?" Can play from 165 (white tees) to 226 (blue tees)! over the Neshobe River to a small green.Absolutely a beautiful course to play in foliage season!

I actually have never been to Devils Bowl believe it or not. But one of the guys I used to tee it up with, drove the wrecker out there on race night. Unfortunately he no longer plays due to COPD.

Let me know if you are ever up this way again!

Elson, It must feel good to be hitting off the green grass rather than a hard mat. And a bonus it's not too far a commute to get to your driving range!
