I use two Scotty Putters. My go to has always been a 2004 Red X Mallet, and the other has been a 2014 California Del Mar almost mallet? I put long putts better with the Red X but putt shorter putts better with the Del Mar. I'd sink more 20 footers with the Red X but occasionally miss a 3 footer with it. I don't make as many 20 footers with the Del Mar, but pretty much don't miss from 6 feet in. Less 3 putts. Although I like the feel of the Red X insert better, I can't go away from very few, if any 3 putts with the Del Mar. Anyone else in a similar boat

I have 3 Scotty's(4 if you count the 1998 Terylium Santa Fe that I gave to my son). Two are prototypes. I'm not sure of what year they are.One is late 90's the other 2002 or2003. One is a black J.A.T. half mallet. That model was originally made for Sergio. I'm not sure how many were made, but I'm told it's pretty valuable. Although I won my city championship with that putter in 1999, I no longer game it.The other prototype is a center shaft Newport 2. I play that putter from time to time on courses where greens are really fast.My everyday Scotty is a 2012 Select GoLo "s" center shaft. I just traded in my original 2012 GoLo 5 that was heel shafted.Aside from being center shafted, the new one is shorter and much heavier. I find I putt better with center shafted putters

Numerous Scotty's but some are wall-hangers and others get rotated only when the gamer goes in for a new finish!

Once I got my Newport 2.5 Scotty, my png sits at the house doing nothing. When I finally bought into getting a Scotty (price was my issue) I was putting at a golf store. I was saying how good my png was since I averaged 32 putts a round etc etc. So I went out and got it. I putted with the Scotty first made 23 of 25 from around 8ft. I putted from same spot with my png made 18 of 25. Haven't missed my png putter since. LOL..

  5. I only have one, but my old instructor was a big proponent of having 2 putters in the bag and theorized that it would be common on tour one day. I get the logic of two putters. You have clubs for long shots and clubs for short shots so why not do the same for putters? I still haven't mastered one putter so in my mind I can't justify adding another putter to my bag.
  6. I have 3 Scotty putters I switch out:
Custom Monterey putter - Circa 62 - and a studio design 1 and love them all like children!

I have 5 Scotty's. Switch between the Big Sur and the Squareback 1. The rest just collects dust.

I have a face-balanced X5R (LH), a Cameron & Crown mallet (RH) that is mildly toe-balanced, and a Newport-3 (LH) (now Del-Mar 2020 design) that is more toe-balanced. If the C&C was available in LH, that would be my go-to. I like the Newport for lag putts, but was having issues with the face closing too much on putts under 6 feet. I go cross-handed for those to get that to work. I've now stopped carrying 2 putters, the C&C for short putts, in my routine bag. That did force me to adjust the wedges or fairways to do that. Although putting from both sides in the same round did get a lot of attention.

Finding out how much toe flow is your natural swing helps you eliminate designs based on looks so you don't have to compensate as much. The only Cameron putter that is LH and meets my specs is the Phantom X 7.5 but actually finding one is still only slightly easier than a Unicorn.

About five years ago, I had been playing with a png Redwood Zing which I played for a long time as obviously I loved it. My teach was proponent to a mallet putter faced balanced and stroke since I've been with him. I added the Futura X5R. Since then, I have forgotten about the png. I tried rotating them, but it would only set me back. Same thing happened a couple of years later to try and rotate them- I mean, a lot of time and efforts would be devoted to it, but it just didn't make sense to me to go back or have two or any other putters.

I currently have three that I rotate. I had two others and sold them to en-laws who had an interest in having a Scotty putter (Studio and Newport Two Select).

I have two Newport 2 Select Notchbacks...purchased the black when it first came out and the last edition in chrome....the black is weighted with 15 gm and the chrome with 10 gm.........the black is not my favorite because the finish did not hold up well....will play it as it is on slow greens. I recently picked up a Newport 2 Pro Platinum and that is what I am currently practicing with.....will game once I start playing on a regular basis.......

I try not to rotate putters. The two selects that I do actually rotate all depend on the speed of the greens.
Putting is a game of confidence and feel and why change the putters if you have one that is going well for you. I bought the Pro Platinum and is an inch shorter than my Selects and thought I would give it a try in this down time. Has a good feel and rolls the ball nicely. Once I start playing on a regular basis, will see how it works. My go to putter is the Newport 2 Select Notchback Chrome which is in use 99% of the time. She can be a birdie machine at times. If the Pro Platinum is not what I expect, I am sure someone somewhere will be looking for a good entry level Scotty Cameron putter.

I have two Scotty Cameron's, a 1997 Napa and a 2005 Stainless Steel Select Newport 2 Circle T. My third is a Wilson 8802 which has to be twenty years old and is temporarily in my bag. My Newport 2 is my gamer, but, it hasn't been behaving and needed a rest!

I have 6 Scotty Cameron putters, but I game the 350g oil can Newport and recently purchased the 34” Special Select Newport. The new putter provides great feel and better consistent long putts for me. I’m pleasantly surprised the pistolini grip isn’t too small, too. The oil can is going to take a break this summer.
  16. Got two very different styles. My gamer is a Circa 62 No.3 (Murdered) and I also have 2018 select square back.

I have two; a Laguna and Circa 62 #1. I just see how I feel that day and what I want to play haha. One day, I plan on having a few more, which will make the daily decision much harder ha!

I am a guilty tinkerer but try not to rotate the gamer much. Picked up the Select Squareback this year and love it and have been playing that all year long this year.

Have 3 other Scotty's and 2 other different brands that I practice with in my basement. I don't really trade much in anymore so I keep them in my Titleist staff bag storage when I want to play around with them on the practice green.
  19. I really do love my futura x5, and will be buying more scottys! But when I play extremely quick greens I will play may odyssey x-milled putter. Just seems to be a little better on fast greens!
