Funny you mention it. Yesterday (Easter) looked like family day at the golf course and when we showed up we were commenting on a guy we saw heading to the back nine with a push cart/stroller. Had 4 wheels and the baby was up front with the golf bag mounted upright behind. Not sure if it was custom made or produced but pretty handy for the new dad.

Try to pass the along to golfers. Fun stuff and get them started early.

Congrats on the new addition. I think you’re onto something!! What a great concept. I’ve had my kids on the course since they were toddlers (now 31 and 28!) and I would’ve loved that. My solution was to push a stroller and carry a small Sunday bag. Now that I have grandkids, I would love to have a combined stroller/push cart. I look forward to seeing the ideas put forth from TT members!

I haven't seen a golf bag that integrates a stroller. I guess it would be a reasonable item to develop. Your post brings up an interesting discussion regarding bringing a baby to the course; I suspect this subject would bring many different opinions. My concern would be the safety of the child and the potential errant balls that could hit a baby strapped to a stroller/baby carrier. I guess you could configure a protective shield but I'd really need to weigh the risk. For me I have 2 older teenage kids (both who happen to golf) and I never considered bringing my kids as babies or toddlers to the course unless they were there to play golf.

One helpful advice, keep your clubs so you can hand them over when your child is ready to play golf.

I've never played a course that allowed baby strollers on the course or would I put such a distraction on the other members of the foresome.

I told both Sons in Laws when my first 2 Grandsons were born. My Grandson is not a kid.

The "money is no object" part will change quicker than you think.......trust me on that.

Not specific to your push cart question but relevant to the topic of "parenting advise", my basic rules for my kids were (1) Be home by 10PM, nothing good ever happens after 10PM and (2) Play fast and fix your ball marks. All the advise they every needed.... sort of.

Do not know how most courses would react to the baby carriage on the course due to liability issues on their part and some even have restrictions regarding age and size of the child. Good luck in your quest. Somewhere, someplace there just might be a company that manufacturers what you are looking for, for a price.

I belong to a private club. We've got a lot of 30 something couples with young kids. Our youth program is thriving and in summer the pool area is always seeing good use.

One young couple now has 2 kids. When the first was in a baby carrier she was strapped to mom's push cart. They'd come out late afternoons when it isn't busy. While putting, the little one would be crawling around on the green. Now both kids are running around in the fairway, etc., and they've got them swinging little plastic clubs. They still are able to get out for a little golf and the fresh air is great for the kids.

That's one example of many. It's a common sight late afternoon and evenings outside of league, men's/ladie's day, outings, etc.. It's good for the membership. Attracts young couples, is raising a new generation of future golfers and I personally enjoy seeing it happening.

With changes, feedings, and potential unhappiness to being in a stroller for 2-4 hours, this will detract from your enjoyment. Both parents need to provide “me” time to the other. If you both play golf, then each could have a league night and a “date” day to have a sitter give you both some “our” time. This is far different than pushing a stroller for a 45 minute. 2 mile

For the dad, real men change diapers. Go with the shaming.

Have not seen a push cart/stroller combo but I had a buddy years ago that put the car seat in his cart. He used cargo straps to secure the seat in the cart.

I don't have much to add on the push cart/stroller combo. But I can offer a little advice about the first clubs you buy so you don't waste money like I did. Make sure you buy the plastic clubs first that they can swing right handed or left handed. I bought my 3 year old son his first right handed club since he does most everything with his right hand, and he immediately picks it up and swings it left handed. So now I am in the market for a left handed club!

Oh, dear. I'm LH dominant, but for the few times I borrowed clubs, they were (always) RH. While teaching myself I figured I should get a set of LH clubs as I was now playing some every year instead just some years.

Along with teaching myself, the decision to switch was also not one of my finest hours. Check OEM products - there are many holes in their LH lines by comparison to RH. At 71 I am now disappointed to be LH but it would be too much of a curve to switch back. Many drivers are only available in one loft as example.

There are more Canadian LH golfers as it is a more natural swing coming from a RH slap shot in hockey. The dominant arm in a RH golf swing is the left arm. Considerations... If learning to use RH clubs for the child is difficult, then so be it.
