I think that this company has a better professional approach for this game. They have history, experience, research and development and products that golfers like. Also they have a politic on issuing new products. They are not replacing their drivers 3 times in 4 years to create obsolescence. Everything is based on performance.
They are on my short list of companies that I will follow all their issuance of equipments with a lot of interest.
I started with the since my first driver a 975d, model smaller than actual 3 wood. I did not count how many clubs, bags, balls that I purchased from them.
Now, I am a lot older but I still buying new clubs from them.

Wow, got me thinking. Always thought that Titleist were for better players but after watching some videos by Mark Crossfield when he was with Titleist I decided I would give it a try. Bought a used set of 716 AP2s and haven't looked back. Bag is a mix of new and used but it's all Titleist. Just picked up my second Scotty and am planning on a full bag fitting at Manchester Lane in around August. To me it's more about the community and the way we are treated by the TT staff. That's what I really like. I could get other clubs that would work but I just like Titleist o much that I can't see that happening.

Similar to both your stories I have to agree with the integrity and perceived brand attributes that Titleist has crafted with merit. Not only do they not have an absurdly short life cycle of their products but they stand by older generation models and don't force their pros into the newest stuff to grease their marketing machine.

Early in my life, pre-accident, I was png everything (except Titleist balls). After my recovery, I was still not really interested in the game, so I took a near 10 year hiatus (played sparingly for a couple years, then not at all for 7+). When I got back into the game last year, I rented clubs at a gathering of friends at Streamsong, which most of us know, is all Titleist, and it was what I needed to start getting back into it. Now, my bag is all Titleist except for my putter, Odyssey. I have looked at Scotty Cameron putters, but there aren't enough choices for lefty golfers, IMO.

So mines abit more of an ‘odd’ one to be fair, so growing up titleist clubs always looked good to my eye, however for years couldn’t afford them, until I was lucky enough to find a real good set of 2nd hand ones and over the years just slowly added to and they always performed exactly how I wanted them to which ended up in me buying more and more.

I then ended up working for another golf company for a few years as an engineer. (I won’t name names but their driver released 2 years ago sounded like a wok hitting a ball)

With obviously being an employee of theirs they wanted us to play their products, so we would get to go through the full fitting process to get the best possible, and they just could not touch the performance of the titleist clubs I had, and just were nowhere near on the feel! And well to say they are ‘famous’ for putters they just don’t come anywhere near the quality/feedback/feel of a scotty!!

And when you see so many non staffers playing titleist out of their own choice, then hey they aren’t gonna be bad clubs are they haha

I build clubs for a living so have the pleasure of seeing all the current brands. Titleist are one of two which are always high quality when it comes to the components and for me, look and perform exactly how I want them to play. On top of that the branding and bags just scream ‘playaaaaa’…okay that last bit is not really important in terms of performance…but they do have the best of gear out there. Driver, fairway, wedges, bag and ball all say Titleist on them, (apparel & shoes are Footjoy) however irons are next and hoping T100s might be on the horizon.

There’s just something about titleist. Ive always loved this brand and having played titleist for years i cant see me changing that any time soon

The reason I have a full Titleist bag (as well as my 3 sons) is the consistency of their products from year to year and the consistency of how they perform.

Titleist doesn't reinvent the wheel to market to us, they modernize when they have something that performs better than their last version - and they take two years to do the research and development before they unveil it to us. Plus, when the new clubs or balls come out, you're never looking at some strange new funky club head, but a classy look that is similar to year's past making the transition easy.

Maybe this is in my head, but I feel like when I look in serious player's bags it is always Titleist!!!

Titleist was always the gold standard to me, though I started out (after my first hand-me-down set) playing TM woods (the original burners with the bubble shafts, my local store at the time didn't carry Titleist) and Cleveland TA1 irons (those heads are SO small lol). Went to the store one day planning on upgrading my driver to a newer TM driver and they happened to have some 975J drivers for the same price as whatever TM I was going to buy and it was a no-brainer, picked up the Titleist instead and that was it lol. Slowly replaced the other woods with Titleist and then eventually the Cleveland wedges became Vokeys and I got tired of hitting butter knives for irons and bought one of the first model years of AP1s. I'll never buy anything else, you just know you're getting quality.

Also, the fact that they release new products on 2-year cycles instead of every year tells me they are actually taking the time to meaningfully improve their products instead of releasing very similar clubs with slightly different paint jobs.

There are multiple ways to answer your question. Equipment wise, for me, Titleist means I'm getting quality, tested equipment every time. I play Titleist throughout my bag and balls. I know that when I make good contact with my ProV1, TSR's, T100s and Vokey wedges, I know it's going to be a good day on the course; the trick for me is making sure I can duplicate that contact as much as possible during the round. Titleist provides me with the confidence that I will be rewarded by a well struck ball.

As a company, I don't know of any company that encourages input from all their end users from pros, amateurs to weekend warriors. Titleist provides many opportunities to interact with the great people behind their products and welcomes the user's involvement. In addition, Titleist facilitates social platforms like this forum where like-minded enthusiasts can interact and cultivate friendships through the commonality of the game of golf and appreciating the hard work of Titleist.

That's a great question. I have always loved their logo haha. Such a classic look. When I worked in the golf industry, I was always told that Titleist was the cream of the crop when it came to clubs. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford them back then, but now that I can, my whole bag is Titleist.

I also really like the fact that they come out with new clubs every two years rather than the other golf companies that come out with new clubs every 6 months!

I get the loyalty but you might find it you try everything on the market some products just use people better than others but if you don’t care to try you will never know your missing out

I think you'd be surprised at how many other people feel similar! Its like a mystique, everyone is trying to be the best player they can be and titleist just has that it factor about being the best... because well, they are!!

Because they know how to treat their base, which is US! Sure the Pros are taken care of and rightfully so, but no other company treats their paying customers like "The T"!

Acushnet / Titleist customer Service like no other golf company.

Why Titleist? Why not? Like a lot of other people on this forum, I’ve played clubs in the past from other OEMs. But those clubs seem to be here one minute and gone the next with the “newest” 12 months later.

Having since joined TT I’ve learned that there is an incredible amount of time and effort it takes to release and market a new club which really means by the time a new club comes out, OEMs are literally working on the next club.

As a consumer that doesn’t give me a lot of confidence knowing I’m getting a club that is lacking in some area so they can put it into the next version.

With Titleist, I know that every club in my bag has gone through so much before it’s even in my bag.

Throw onto that this forum where I’ve been able to experience some really fun things with Team Titleist, meet great new fellow golfers and friends, you can’t beat Titleist.

As Todd said earlier, I’m treated like Titleist Staff at all the events I go to. Just an amateur like everyone else but my feedback and opinions like my fellow TT members has some weight.

Titleist allows me to play my best every time I put a peg in the ground.

I play titleist because at 14 years old I was playing a set of "copies" of DCI's. I was practicing at a range and a titleist rep came over and worked with me. He said the irons were working well for me and offered to make a few adjustments. That year in competitions I improved dramatically. 2 years later I was able to go back to him and get fitted for my first set of Titleist irons. Since then I haven't looked back. I'm sure other brands can be fitted to work for me as well, but Titleist hasn't done anything to warrant switching. Just recently upgraded to T200s, TSi driver, 3w. Only thing I haven't switched is my putter because I average under 2 putts per hole.

Being left handed, I never got any hand me down clubs. I started to play golf in 2008 with a hodge podge set. Bought some cally Irons in 2012 and a Scotty Cameron GOLO. When the Stimmy check came in 2020, I finally bought a set of T200 irons. After that, I finished the set with vokey wedges, Titleist woods and hybrids. Last year I added a 009m Scotty to the setup.

I’ll be playing Titleist for as long as I can swing a club. I love the consistency and quality.

It’s not just the clubs, but shoes, clothes, gloves, bags and hats. They are a quality product. I used to work in a few pro shops (in Sydney, NSW), I was able to try a few differing brands. I can honestly say Titleist/FJ shoes, gloves, balls and clothing have been the so consistent and dominant in their respective areas. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

why Titleist? when I was young tiger came out playing Titleist and I said when I can afford to buy my own clubs they are going to be Titleist! even though tiger doesn't use them anymore I have no plans not using them anytime soon
