In addition to his 2024 lineup of new Phantom mallets, Scotty Cameron introduces two new Long Design models crafted specifically at 38-inches in stable, user-friendly options that allow greater player preference when gripping and manipulating the putter.

Designed slightly longer with stiffer, custom shafts and heavier heads using tungsten sole weights, the new Phantom 11 Long Design and Super Select Squareback 2 Long Design putters are 38-inch versions of each model, but purpose-built to help quiet the player’s hands and engage the shoulders for enhanced stability in the putting stroke.

The increase in overall length and weight—coupled with a heavier, longer grip—keeps the putter in balance, while the entire stroke is slowed down.

    • CUSTOM 17-INCH 135-GRAM GRIP: Made especially for the Long Design models, the 135-gram, non-tapered 17-inch grip allows for relatively soft grip pressure and some movement of the hands with more weight to counterbalance the increased putter head weight.
    • CUSTOM STIFFER SHAFTS: Designed for stability and forgiveness, the stiffer, longer version of our mid-bend shaft accommodates the heavier head weight of the Phantom 11 Long Design, while the custom shaft made for the Super Select Squareback 2 Long Design complements the model’s plumbing neck.
    • HEAVIER SOLE WEIGHTS: Each Long Design putter incorporates interchangeable 25-gram tungsten sole weights.

    QUOTING SCOTTY CAMERON

"In addition to alignment, many players need help with quieting the hands during the putting stroke. We took two of our most popular models—the Super Select Squareback 2 and Phantom 11—and created a counterbalanced effect with a slightly longer shaft and a heavier head using tungsten sole weights in conjunction with a heavier grip. This helps the player engage the larger shoulder muscles in the stroke. It’s a concept we’ve developed over the years working with touring professionals that translates to players everywhere."

    LONG DESIGN MODEL OVERVIEW

The new Long Design models can be ordered in custom lengths from 36-inches to 40-inches for ultimate player flexibility. Each putter features the Super Select and Phantom lines’ multi-material construction, dual-milled face technology and refined aesthetics.

Super Select Squareback 2 Long Design – 38-inch: With a solid milled face and an integrated 6061 aluminum sole plate, the Super Select Squareback 2 Long Design has two 25-gram tungsten sole weights, a longer, heavier 17-inch, 135-gram pistol-style grip and a longer, custom-designed stiffer shaft.

Phantom 11 Long Design – 38-inch: Designed with the same head shape as the Phantom 11 and Phantom 11.5 models, the Phantom 11 Long Design is a 38-inch counterbalanced model with a longer, heavier 17-inch, 135-gram pistol-style grip and a custom-designed stiffer mid-bend shaft to accommodate the overall heavier head, which includes two 25-gram tungsten sole weights.

Meh...never been a big fan of the long stuff. More power to those who like. Just not my style. Still look incredible though.

I purchased the Super Select Squareback recently and maybe I should have waited a few weeks in making my purchase. Possibility of taking some pressure off of my lower back. Do like my 35" Squareback.
  6. Hmmm, this sounds amazing!
  7. I like the previous long putters by Scotty…can’t wait to try out the new and improved version!
  8. Can’t wait! I use both of these models with oversized grips. Always looking to improve my putting game. I will be buying the phantom 11 model.

Scotty makes the best putters. I am still using my 2019 Phantom 7.5. I love that they come out with more options to help players putt better.
  10. Does anyone know if SC are planning on having more of line up available in the long design?
