This has been on my bucket list for a while, now, and I finally got it booked: I get to tour Ball Plant #3 in Fall River!

I don't know a thing about what happens there, except I hope there's a gift shop.

Hey John, it's near Fall River but actually in New Bedford. You will love it. Very interesting and informative tour that will give you a great appreciation for what it takes to produce world class golf balls. Oh, and yes, there is a gift shop at the end of the tour. Have fun!

Oh there's a shop. Make sure you bring an empty credit card. I go every few years just for that reason. Oh, and the tour.....of course. You will learn a lot about what goes into the process of making the #1 ball in golf.

Bring more $$$ then you think you need! The proshop at the end is small, but mighty. Exclusive Team Titleist stuff. I spent $300 without even knowing it.

The ball plant is top notch. You can tell everyone takes pride in their work!

Definitely a fun and interesting tour, despite the fact that it’s basically a glorified rubber factory lol. I found it way more interesting than expected. You’ll also most likely get a couple balls free, and yes the gift shop is small but great!
I’m planning to go again this year. I’m in Boston so it’s an easy visit, only tricky thing is finding a weekday off from work.

My wife and I went last May, seeing the detail into ball production is SO impressive.

And like everyone else, gift shop is unreal. You can spend $500 so fast, lol.
  7. I go tomorrow I can’t wait :)

My wife and I will be vacationing in Boston and checking out Martha’s Vineyard. So I scheduled a tour of the plant at New Bedford while there. I can’t wait! And I’m definitely looking forward to the store afterwards. Has anyone called the 800 # to order customized golf balls so when you arrive you can collect them? I tried calling and left a message but haven’t had a call back. Hit em’ straight!!

I might do it online so I can get my order precisely right with no ambiguities. I've also never tested a left-dash (I play ProV1X). It's two weeks away!

When I went in 2018 I received an email beforehand asking if I wanted to order some custom balls to be picked up on my tour date. I ordered that way and had no issues at all. It is hard to believe it has been that long, I should book another visit (I only live 10 minutes away).
  11. I want to go just for the shop at the end, lol.
  12. Just went on Monday and Wow! You are going to have an amazing time!

    Cheers

I go every couple of years. Interesting information on how they make the great ball. People there are great. Oh yes, bring plenty of $$$ for the shop at the end of the tour.

I absolutely loved it! I did justifiable damage to my bank account at the gift shop and had to extend my tee time at TPC. Absolutely unforgettable, and now I'm thinking about Carlsbad, CA.

Just so you know, Carlsbad does not have the same type of open scheduled tours like Ball Plant III. They do occasionally set up special tours for VIP’s or groups attending local Titleist events. Watch for local outings and see if they include a factory tour.
