  1. Decided that my three putting must be due to my 2015 Scotty squareback …….- my new X5.5 arrived an hour ago.

My first few putts on my putt out mat are definitely better and more consistent- as someone who wears glasses but not when I’m putting, it may simply be that the X5.5 is much easier to align.

Either way, tomorrow’s medal will hopefully show the “upgrade” was worth it!

It’s amazing the difference a head shape can make to the eye for alignment and seeing the line. The confidence you gain from having something pleasing to the eye is as crucial as fitting the right sort of head/neck combo to your stroke.
Best of wishes to the first round with the new wand.

My word that is a sweetie....
Since I fell in love with my Flowback 5.5 about 3 years back, I've not looked at another putter...
Not even picked one up and swung it back and through....
I went to the fitting thinking wild thoughts of a Del Mar but once the Flowback was in my grip I couldn't let it go.
The Phantom could easily be your putter for life - Let us know how it performs under pressure.
    Good luck...

Nice I ordered mine though Scottdale Golf and ordered the 5.0 which is just a dream to have in my hands.

Never thought i would spend that sort of money on a putter plus my misses gave me some serious eyes When she heard!

Tho i can only imagine this putter will stay in the bag for a very very long time.

Enjoy and i hope it brings you success

Lock down didn't help me, bought the X5.5 which is in the bag and love it, along with 4 more. it becomes serious money, told my misses I won two of them!!!
I do need a My-girl this year though for my daughters 21st, I'm sure that wont be cheap either, oh well I can't take it with me, might as well spend it!!
    Happy Golfing

I bought the 5 and by god, played this week and only had 3 2 putts!! Putting was the worst part of my game but Scotty saved the day!
  8. Great to see! Hopefully you see an improvement!

Enjoy it! Let me know how it is performing on the course.

After my first 2 roundsWill, I noticed a few things that really caught me by surprise.

Firstly the grip? I have always loved a my Winn Pistol soft feel grip but for some reason or another this new grip just felt nice and soft in my palm.

Secondly the weight of the head felt a little lighter than last seasons Phantom X5 but maybe it’s just me and there is no difference at all.

I will say though, my distance control improved more from the longer putts from maybe 20 ft and longer which was nice.

Overall I’m glad I spent the money and round by round it becomes better and better.

I will post some total putts numbers also over the coming months and see how I do,

PS do Titleist sell Birdie dust at all? Hahaha

    Hi all.

A few rounds in now and got to say loving my new Phantom 2022.

Did try swopping the grip to a Superstroke, but soon put the original back on.

Averaging 29 putts in completion at the moment , but am also holing a few more distance putts.

I have the 7.5, and to my eye it seems to sit slightly flatter, which I love.

Shot a 73 in weekend competition last week with a OB on a the par 4 3rd making a 35 ft putt for a 5, lol. his 12 out of 18 GIR and never felt like there was a 3 putt at risk.

We all know putting is linked to confidence and at the moment i could not agree more.

    Happy golfing everyone.

  11. And an update - very happy with the putter so far. Yesterday was a comp and I had 32 putts in total including several from just off the green. It has made a huge difference in confidence and, most importantly, has significantly reduced the mentally damaging short missed putts along with the 6 to 15 foot saves.

I’ve not long got myself the phantom x5s
And absolutely love it very easy to keep square.
My only gripe is the headcover, it can be a bit of a pain to get on not sure if it’s because of the centre shaft but it doesn’t seem to line up with the opening in the cover it might get better as it softens. But it’s not the end of the world……
  13. The Phantom X5.5 is near perfection if you are looking for a mallet style putter.

I have been playing with the 5.5 for about a month, but just cant seem to get on with the grip and maybe I need another 1/2" in the length.

I did try both 35" and 34" but opted for 34", now I think I need a little extra length.

I am probably going to replace the Pistolero Plus grip with a Superstroke tour 2.0 with tech port, just in case I have swing weigh issues. But would like some advice on extending shaft. I assume the plastic extender is best as it weighs less than the steel.

    Any Thoughts ?

I normally play a 34” putter, have done with my scotty camerons for years. Took delivery of my 5.5 back in june 22 and went with the 35” as it just felt so much better
