Walton Heath is hosting the AIG Women’s Open in a week and half.
I played the course today - the fairways and green surrounds are very lush. The greens are in good condition too - both will be cut shorter and made quicker I’m certain.
It should be a great event near London - and including an Ellie Goulding concert in the ticket price for Saturday should attract a broader crowd to the golf.
I’m looking forward to spending three days volunteering during the event and watching the women play shots from spots on the course I am familiar with- when the men pros play, they play an unfamiliar game!
