Just back from another unbelievable titleist fitting at Craigielaw with Graeme Noblett, the man is a genius! Today was all about the new GT range. Some much good press about these bad boys, it was time to find out for myself what all the fuss is about. Firstly I hit a few balls with my current driver, TSR2 9deg, hzrdus x-stiff 6.5 60g half inch shorter gen 4 shaft, about a year old. Been really struggling off the tee with this lately. Best was 225 carry 260 yards max 100 mph 2100 spin rate swing speed and 146 ball speed. Misses low duck hook and big block right, very inconstant. Quick change to GT head 9degs in my own shaft set up. 10 balls later 2mph increase in speed with slightly higher launches given a few yards extra distance. Still not the correct set up for me though. Change of head to 11deg and the big man says try again. The GT2 head looks a little different shape wise compared to TSR2. 150,151,152,153,154 the ball speed just keeps going up and up, the ball flight keeps rising higher and higher and graeme laughs and says start counting the hang time (ball in the air haha ) 10 shots goes by, nice high predictable draw, ten balls all on the fairway to my own shock!! 260/270 carry to 280/290plus my best of the day. Dispersion is nice and tight, balls feel really good off the club face. Even with my low miss hits they are better and longer than my old set up. Proof is in the pudding as they say, go get fitted I’m completely blown away by the results from my fitting today and the GT has been pre ordered!! Huge thanks once again to all at titleist for delivering a beast of a product the GT and Graeme for his experience knowledge expertise in the fitting. ️‍♂️

  3. Amazing service there. I’m booked in for the 15th with Graeme. Can’t wait to try the GT as there was much difference between the Tsi and the TSR for myself.
  4. El,
Like you, my driver had been misbehaving to the extent that I was using a U505 utility iron off the tee much of the time, just to keep in play.
Have to say, I too was mightily impressed by the new GT range - and I tried them all with a range of shafts.
Improved ball speed (+7) and distance (22 yards) and dialled in to the extent that I no longer have to worry about a low & left pull - It has disappeared.
Have moved from a TSR3 (9º) into a GT2 (8º). Stiff Tensei Blue shaft and my confidence has come flooding back.
Ditched my TSR2+ and TSR2 5-wood for a GT2 4-wood that gaps me so much better.
My fitting was with Rachel Bishop from Titleist, who was, as usual, professionalism personified and great fun as well. We have done the dance before - she fitted me for my T200's which are probably the best all-round irons I've ever played (and I've had a few).
Pre-order arrived last Friday, so 11 days after the fitting. Seems like a great product and excellent service to me.

I had a great experience and fitting at Woburn! New GT3 Driver ordered on the day and GT2 13.5 ordered with my regular PGA Professional. Can’t believe the numbers! WOW
  7. Have had a fitting on the gt3 driver absolutely unreal very forgiving and has given me 20-30 yards of roll
  8. Had a great fitting last week for a GT2 driver with Lewis White @ProFitting. Results were so good I went all in and pre-ordered 16.5 and 21 degree fairways too.
Thank you Lewis for a great session and everyone at Titleist for the great new GT range and getting my new clubs to me in time for this weekend.

Had a really good fitting with Peter the titleist fitter in Ireland last week. GT3 worked best for me with great improvements which I was surprised at. my slight problem is it’s been 9 days now and I’ve had no specs emailed to me. I can only think that there was a wrong email given to him by the store I was fitted in. I’ve no contact details for Peter but thankfully now I have Will looking into this for me. Was chatting with another lad yesterday who was fitted the same day and he had specs within the hour.

All sorted, shop gave the fitter the wrong email address for me.
  11. I had another great fitting with Graeme on Thursday. Went through what I thought was every option available on the GT3 and GT2 both having great improvements on my TSi. in the end I went for the GT2.

I have just received an email from Titleist saying that they will start building it and I will have it by next week. This is like being a child at Christmas time again
  12. So, 1 week after my fitting my GT2 turned up. Again great service from Titleist

Thanks for sharing, really can’t wait to try them myself.
  14. I had a fitting for new GT woods on July 11th and placed my order on July15th. So far still no information from my Proshop when I will get my new GT woods. So almost one and a half month since my order and still no info. My pro shop also told me that they contacted Titleist but did not receive any information when my clubs will be shipped. During my fitting I was told by Titleist fitter that I should receive the new GT's in about two weeks. So I don't know why this delay (and no information from Titleist) since other people who ordered much later their new GT's, already got them.

Something is definitely wrong. Has the money came off your bank account?

I went and put an order in for the GT2 7 wood I was fitted for on the 24th and got it by Friday the 30th. So both my driver and fairway have taken less than 1 week to deliver.

Hope this gets sorted for you.
  16. I checked yesterday again at my pro shop what is going on with my order from July 13th (GT2 Driver-
+FW) and received an answer that they Titleist could send them by the end of this week but not sure. So for me this is really very strange since I ordered new GT's almost two months ago and nobody waited so far so long And even now without any fix confirmation. I would like to get an answer from Titleist what is going on since I was promised by official Titleist fitter on July 11th that if I order my new GT's in next four days I could get them buy Aug 1st. So I did so two days later and so far with absolutely no information what is happening with my order. This is indeed very frustrating and I never experienced something like this (and I bought a lot of Titleist clubs in the past years).
  17. Went for a fitting for the new GT drivers at St Ives on 2nd August - fitting was great and the fitter was excellent. Settled on the GT3.

Due to my preferred shaft length, to achieve the desired swingweight, 2g needed to be added to the head. As he didn't want my spin number to reduce, the fitter suggested that instead of swapping the front Surefit weight to a 10g (+2g) weight, the better option would be to add hotmelt to the centre rear of the club and he said that Titleist could accommodate that. He included a note to that effect on the fitting sheet and I placed the order.

However, instead of doing what was asked, Titleist UK simply swapped the front weight for the heavier one (obviously a quicker and easier fix for them). I could understand a bit more if it was a request I had made, that they didn't really want to do, but this was the suggestion of one of their own fitters.

I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed with this. I tried to reach out to Titleist UK to see if they could do anything, but have had no response. It's been a long while since I've used a Titleist driver and this experience doesn't exactly make me feel all warm and fuzzy about them.

First time I've heard fitters suggest hotmelt to amatures - I can't imagine many would be sensitive to a couple of grams or swingweight points. I wonder if hotmel has warranty implicaitons?
