It all depends how you care for your wedges. I have a SM6 58° since it was released and I use it anywhere from 80 yards in. I wipe my club after each shot as well as clean my all of my sticks after each round. I would say it wears just fine. All of my clubs are like new still. If there is moisture on the club head it will rust over time (as designed) so if you don't want rust I would recommend wiping all of the moisture/dirt etc off after each shot or round.

Thanks Darron, I don't mind some rust. I currently have a raw finish that has plenty of rust on it.

If you're playing a lot of bunker shots it will wear.. My first bunker shot with my 60 took a bunch of wear off on the bottom/bounce! I expected it, so it wasn't too disappointing.

Can you get a black shaft for SM7 Jet Black wedges for an all black look?
