  1. What is the best grind for dead pan and hard dirt lies? I play a lot of small town courses that don’t water.

Without seeing a swing, you most likely will need a low bounce option. I'd start with an M grind or L grind. If you have a lot of confidence in your wedge game and want the best club for this shot a T grind can handle these conditions easily. I have one and love it but you gotta clip it perfectly every time!

Bounce should be considered as well. Maybe a F grind with an 8* or 10* bounce. L grind is best for hard pan. That would be a 60.08*L. Check Vokey wedges below under the logo and you can see every grind and bounce combination available. When in doubt, see a fitter in your area. That works best. I am not a fitter, so my suggestions would be strictly on my personal choices and I do get fitted for my wedges.

Depends on the loft you’re looking for, but if the lies are that skinny and firm, try of the lowest bounce available ( sub 10 degrees if possible).

Having always grabbed one that looked to be right and then being fit for wedges, I'd strongly suggest you get fit for new wedges if possible. The wedges I had been using for a few years were wrong on every level. My fitter had me try several and we landed on the right grind and bounce and it was like a night and day difference in the way I hit the ball, even from super tight lies.

Hey! I have the same problem at times. I play the M grind and make sure I strike the ball steeply at the bottom of my swing.
  7. T , not L….
