I got mine about three months ago.  I think they were the new PRO V1X. Any case, they are fantastic.  The ball is little longer than the PRO V1X that I play.  However, it spin little less with the Short Irons, which I love.  If you hit the ball high, they seem to drop and stop.  If you hit it little lower, it takes a hop then stop in place.  I loved it.  I am waiting for the Titleist to officially release them so I can buy them for next season.

I also found the prototype balls in the mailbox yesterday.....Stopped by the practice area at a local course today and rolled a few putts.  I used all three of my gamers,  Circa 62 #6,  TEI3 Newport 2 and a Made for tour Newport 2.  rolled both balls against a NXT tour and found them to be very similar.  Hope to make it out to the course again in the next few days and play a round and get a better feel for them

Prototypes are anything at all that Titleist wants them to be.  I truly liked the last round of test balls I received--and they turned out to be the 2013 Pro V1 and Pro V1x'es.  Got my fingers crossed to receive this year's prototypes, as well so I can give them a good workout.

How would I be able to get these balls to test them.  I love Titleist golf ball

I got some today. I will be putting them to the test this week. Can't wait to see how they compare to the current retail offerings.

Darn! I must have missed out this time around

I also received two sleeves of prototype balls today, 3 x dots and 3 x diamonds. I managed to walk 6 holes after work today playing both balls on each hole.

I'll play and practice some more with them before commenting fully, but I can tell you this.....I'm very excited!!

I tested those out too. I believe they are the Pro V1. They spin more around the green but not off the tee.  They seemed to be longer with my irons.  Put the ball in play for the first time with some friends and shot 69 with it.  Can't wait to put it in the bag

Received mine yesterday, plan to hit the course for some testing tomorrow. 

Got mine today. With dot and square or diamond according to how you see it. Will start testing today. 

Patience all...... I was told I'm getting them and they haven't arrived yet; and I'm 30 minutes from Titleist!

I haven't seen them yet but look forward to everyone's thoughts. This is one of the coolest things Titleist does for it's players. (Even the "non staff" players like us :) 

I'm hoping they're in the mailbox when i get home!

I hope i recieve the 2014 titleist prototype golf balls.

I have religiously been a long time Pro V1X player, but have never once been sent any Titleist golf balls to test. I was at the Heritage last week and the Titleist rep down there told me the PGA pros had the new Pro V1 prototypes on the range and were testing them.  Pretty cool that we the regular golfers are receiving prototypes to test a week later.

I just wish Titleist would send this 5 handicapper who plays 60 rounds a year some balls to test sometime.

I also got mine today. I will play on Sunday, and will play the squares on the front and he circles on the back 9. Just by doing the fingernail test, both seem to be soft covers, but the square ball seems a little bit softer. I will hit all shots from all distances, since I am knocking off a years worth of rust, and my ball flies everywhere right now. I will post some feedback on Monday. So far, they seem to roll very nice on my putting green out back, no difference between them and the prov1x's I usually play.

Played them today.. Great feel and distance from the square balls, surprised that a softer ball is longer than the harder one.

Cannot wait to see what it would be.

WOW!!!! Test balls are already out!!! I hope I'm lucky enough to test some out.

Would love to test something along the lines of the ProV or ProV1's. 

Messed around with them today...will not tell which shape I preferred to not skew results.

Ball A on the first hole...hit a wedge into the green and it released about 8 feet.  Odd...not my usual with my v1x.  This ball also putted with a heavier feel.

Ball B I used the majority of the round...no lie, it felt longer than my normal ball by about a 1/2 an iron...hit some bombs with the driver.  Softer feel off the putter than my normal v1x.

i hope they are not the same ball and I got found out how mental i am...they definitely felt different.
