Ok, I don't know exactly why but when I first began playing the Pro V1x it felt great when I hit it off the tee. As I walked to where I usually end up and the ball was further down the fairway, about ten yards. I thought it was a fluke, you know hit it pure that one time. But after playing more holes it was consistently further. That led me to gain confidience and hit it harder without worry. The ball checked up very nicely on the green on chipping and felt so good putting. I was sold on the Pro V1x after that. No other ball performed that way.
Jason MMadrid,
Hey Bubba,
I used to play the Pro V1 but I have switched to the V1x because I feel like it gives me a little more distance with the driver and I don't notice much loss of control around the greens. Both balls are great, but I'm partial to the V1x.

Less spin is a major reason I play the Pro V1x when I am trying to work the ball either left or right less spin gives me more confidence that the ball will do exactly what I want it to do.

i play them because the the wind we have here in west texas is harsh and they fly farther and straighter than anyother ball i have hit.
thanks and keep up with the r&d

I'm 49 and my swing speed says Pro-V1 and so I played them for a long time. Then I tried the 1x. Wow. Better roll out off the tee and love the action into the green so it's Pro-V1x for me

I play the Pro V1 for spin around the greens. It is very solid with my 714 MB Irons and they are easy to control the trajectory of the ball. i also love the distance off the tee.

I prefer the 1 over the 1x. I'm not a high spin player and the 1 lets me check-up and roll out green side chips and pitches; helps stop wedge and short irons into the green and Allows me to draw and fade around trouble. If there is a distance loss, it's slight, and I prefer the control the 1 gives me.

I stick with the prov1x for the same response most mention here, it spins a little less. This helps me on the long game as well as wedge approach shots. regular V1s tend to spin off greens for me.

Love the Pro V1 ... always have.
It seems to have a better feel off the face, especially off the Scotty and wedges, which is where I need to feel the ball the most. It rolls so true off the face.
There seems to be more consistency as well. I know it will do what I want it to, when I need it to.
I don't generate enough clubhead speed to get the benefits of the X but I am sure it is just as good for higher club head speed players.
I will always trust a Titleist Pro V1!

Hi Bubba,
I game the Pro V1 because of the spin and consistency. The ball opens up a huge amount of possibilities around the green. I can hit high lobs that land soft and die, and I can hit low zingers that check, check, release. I trust the ball completely, and I play it because I know when I hit it right, it's going to do exactly what I want it to do.

Hi Bubba , I prefer the PROV 1X because I like less spin on full shots and the control it gives around the green and from the bunker.
As the say " Titleist, the number # 1 ball in golf " ....... that is not just lip service, absolutely the best ball made !

I use the X because I spin the ball a lot and the regular pro v1 just grabs too much for me with short irons.

Bubba and fellow members,
I go with the Pro V1X because of many reasons. It is the best in my eyes out of any ball on the market first off. Flies higher than any ball I see with woods n long irons. Strops on command with any short shot or pitch. Launches extremely far off the driver. Their is a reason people hunt for lost titleist babies like they are gold on courses, they both are the best, I just prefer the X.

i use a pro v1x becuase i like the feel more and i get a little more control/distance.

I am currently playing the V1x. Today, I shot my personal best for 9 holes at my home course, a 33. I shot a 74 net and a 68 gross score today. I am going to put those TM balls in the practice bag and use Titleist golf balls only from now on. I just have so much confidence with the Titleist golf balls that I know what the ball will do every time I hit it. The V1x is such a durable ball and used only 1 golf ball for my round today. Thank you Titleist for making such a remarkable product.

Thanks Bubba. I appreciate the compliments. I have played most of the popular tour golf balls out there and for some reason, my distance control was sporatic. Going back to the V1x, my distances for each club have been more consistant, and much happier to tee up a Titleist than any other golf ball on the market. Thanks again for your response.

i play the Pro V1x because it gives me great feel and solid distance. i also like how sometimes i can feel how much spin i put on it.

Dear Bubba:
I am an older player, age 56, with a relatively slow swing speed. I have tried all the Titleist balls and I find for my game the ProV1x provides me the best combination of distance and control around the green than any other ball, Titleist or otherwise. The latest version, 2013, is the best yet. It is certainly the best ball I've ever played.
Best Regards,
