Thanks to Team Titleist! I just got mine today in the mail! I am super excited to test them out. I think they are the NXTs, but I guess I will see when I test them out tomorrow!

I haven't received any, as of yet - but maybe they'll magically appear at the TT outing this week in Dallas! Fingers-crossed!

Hi Koty,
Looking at the yellow test ones I got, they look very similar to my NXT Tour S (my normal ball). But they felt much better. Just wish I could have paid more attention to the driver. LIked the feel better with my irons. But my putter was just singing!
Take care,
Kyle

I received my sleeve of the R&D balls earlier this week. Since loosing my left eye to a RPG explosion a couple of years ago, I've had trouble following the fllight path of the standard colored white ball. This bright yellow ball was easier to follow against the contrasting skyline. This ball tracks wekk, with very little side spin. It showed great spin characteristics greenside, and putted true to the arrow allignment. I will make the switch when they tell me what I was hitting. SGM Nichols,(R)

I have not received any however looking forward to hearing the reviews on the beta balls.
Enjoy!
richbow9Huddersfield,
I guess they don't travel well across the Atlantic:-(

Received my test balls in optic yellow last week and played 36 holes in our local weekend competition.
I usually play the NXT Tour S, but have played many different balls to find my favorite, which has narrowed to the NXT Tour S.
My first impression of the test ball was that this ball really carries off the driver and has the right sound and feel from every club, including the putter. The ball does seem a little brighter yellow than the NXT Tour S, which really helps me see the ball in flight or on the ground, especially with the leaves falling.
We had pretty strong wind Saturday in west Texas, and cooler temperatures, so I think the ball will carry even more when the weather is really warm.
On all my full iron shots from 100-150 off the green, the ball landed and stopped within 12"-18" of the divot. I am using KBS tour 90 shafts on my 714 AP-2 irons, so they tend to throw the ball petty high, but I could count on the ball sticking close to where it landed on the green.
These balls also feel and sound really nice off my Scotty putter, and I was able to control speed very well.
My inclination is that these balls are what I would expect an enhanced NXT Tour S ball to be, but also felt a lot like the DT TruSoft ball that I also just started using to compare to the NXT.
The test ball, after 36 holes on a pretty dry, rough course, still felt the same as it did when I took it out of the box. I intend to see how many holes I can play this one ball before it feels different. And I have two more test balls to try!
What great choices! Thanks Titleist for giving me the opportunity to try out these great test balls.

Haven't seen anything yet. Got some last year (I believe the ProV1x), would love to see what this years test balls have to offer!
I went out yesterday, since no one else was on the course, and hit drives with the test ball, a Pro V1, NXT tour S, and the DT TruSoft.
My drives are usually longest with the NXT Tour S, and this test ball was right there with it. The Trusoft was very close, and typically about the same distance as the ProV1. I typically get longer drives with the NXT than the ProV1. My swing speed with my driver is 85-90, so I am not usually the longest hitter. My main focus is keeping the ball in the fairway, which I can usually do.
The test ball felt really good on drives, iron shots and putting. It seemed to be easy to keep the test ball straight on drives. This was the same ball I used this weekend to play 36 holes in our local weekly tournaments, and it still has no scuffs or cuts on it. My inclination was that it felt like the NXT Tour S, but maybe a little better on feel and ball flight. I would definitely play this test ball!

So what kind of ball did you get? I wonder what they are testing this year! I bet it is a low compression ball. You lucky SOB's....LOL

I just joined a week or so ago... Any chance I will get to give some feedback?

I got my test balls last week, but today was the first time I could go out and give them a try! Titleist in black lettering with red numeral, seems fairly soft, average distance, good on green. The bonus, I made a hole in one with the test ball! Really like to test golf balls from Titleist, look forward to it each year. Thanks to Titleist for letting me hit the test balls!

I got the sleeve of test balls as well and they inspired me to walk a quick fall season 9 holes over the weekend to test them out. Played side by side with this season's pro V1x and they compared nicely. Pretty sure by looking at "test" logo writing on the ball that they aren't new pro V1 because of the slight difference in look between that area of Titleist balls between each option, but not sure if they are NXT's or velocity or what. It would have been nice if that was included in the note that came with the balls. Either way, did feel a little "special" getting them in the mail and if they are in fact a lesser ball than a Pro V1, it made me wonder why I pay more for essentially the same performance in general.
I did notice a little bit more "pop" and distance on a couple shots, as well as a few putts. Nothing major that made a serious difference. The putting portion is really the only thing that made me think twice, almost as if the extra pop that made the ball move faster was because the ball was slightly cheaper or something. That being said, I am sure after a round or two I could totally adjust to the difference.
Long post, but figured I had to write it since Titleist made the effort of sending me the balls. I sent the attached photo to my buddies joking that "my sponsor gave me work to do this weekend". Thanks to the TEAM for sending the balls my way and look forward to being a lifer with the brand unless my boy Spieth gets bought out by another brand, haha. Hope everyone who hasn't gotten them yet gets them soon and look forward to reading other feedback.

I think the whole point is to not know what ball it is you're testing so you can try and give an unbiased view of it's performance.
